General LONG LIVE THE KING!

Strange, there are moments in life where someone important dies, and it feels as though life will never be quite the same.

So it is with the passing of Britains lomgest reigning and most influential monarch.

It just felt like the Queen was imortal. And with her passing one feels the chill of ones own mortality.

It is the end of an era and could well be the beginning of the end of this remarkable British institution. It could see our head of state change too, King Charles does not bring the full sense of majesty, the weight of a 1000 years of post Norman conquests.

In a way I will miss the Queen. She was a peice of living history.

So strange to live to see the Monarch die and for the Prince of Wales to be called King Charles in the BBC announcement of his mothers passing.

Just like the movies 'The queen is dead, long live the King!'

I am not a royalist, but certainly recognize the significance of the Queens life and the milestones she set.
I suspect a few commonwealth countries may become republics over the next few years.
King Charles has certainly had to wait his time, just like Warrior fans.

Not surprising with her age and recent concern for her health declining. Woke up this morning and the alarm went off with the radio talking about her so I thought something may have happened.

She's been on the throne so long having a Queen is pretty much all anyone has known.

Some of the changes will seem a bit weird. Going from Queens Birthday to Kings Birthday weekend.

Wether you are pro or anti the Monarchy can’t help but respect the lifetime of staunch duty she gave to the commonwealth, having to essentially be pulled kicking and screaming away from engagements just a day or so before her death- amazing dedication.
Be a strange new world without her, she really was the last living remnant of a regime that has likely died with her.
Only monarch most people have ever known, be odd the trivial things like ‘kings birthday’ , ‘god save the king’ new face on currency etc

I'm anti but give my condolences as she is someone's mother and grandmother. She could've righted a lot of wrongs but that's for another day i guess....

Why cancel all the football? She is dead, move on.
Brittish tourism relies on it's historic and now unique traditions.

Can't make money from Faux Kings and Queens, you have to have the institutions, 10 days mourning is no biggie really.

Growing up I had a King Charles Spaniel dog. But in more important note, I do not see the need for a post on a Warriors Forum about the Royals unless Charles is going to be out new Front Rower!

It is if your a football fan. Go cry at the gates of Buckingham Palace for ten days if you want, otherwise have a minutes silence at the football and let everyone else enjoy themselves.
