Strange, there are moments in life where someone important dies, and it feels as though life will never be quite the same.
So it is with the passing of Britains lomgest reigning and most influential monarch.
It just felt like the Queen was imortal. And with her passing one feels the chill of ones own mortality.
It is the end of an era and could well be the beginning of the end of this remarkable British institution. It could see our head of state change too, King Charles does not bring the full sense of majesty, the weight of a 1000 years of post Norman conquests.
In a way I will miss the Queen. She was a peice of living history.
So strange to live to see the Monarch die and for the Prince of Wales to be called King Charles in the BBC announcement of his mothers passing.
Just like the movies 'The queen is dead, long live the King!'
