Manaia Cherrington named on an extended bench for the West Tigers hopefully gets to makes his debut this week. One area the Kiwis lack depth in is hooker so hopefully if he does play he does well with the opportunity.

Kids gonna be a star. Good to see him starting to push for 1st Grade...

The exciting thing is in a couple of years time there is every chance there could be a great 'rivalry' if you will for the Kiwis hooker position. Both Manaia Cherrington and Danny Levi look to be gun players.

spoke to a mate involved in the recent anzac camp.

said that camp with men, women & u20s was awesome - had a real 'whanau' vibe to it. no-one acted as if they were bigger & better than any of the others.

said stephen kearney made everyone feel welcome.

something that was mentioned was that when wayne bennett was part of the kiwis squad. he admitted to kearney that the 'culture' and 'mateship' that the kiwi's have is so much beyond that of the Australian team and something Australia would struggle to replicate.

those kiwi roots' camps would definitely help players like jayden nikorima and other kiwi eligible players in australia look more towards us - if we keep winning i really dont see origin having the same pull that it once did

Yeah I had the chance to catch up with Dallin Watene Zelezniak. We have an affiliation through church. He said the kiwis culture is awesome and they all share a huge bond. Its nice when you hear it from one of the players themselves and to see how much he wantes to play for the kiwis. Alot of these guys are gonna be huge examples for the next generation.

What came first. Did the winning create the team bond or did the bond create the wins?

Dallin just mentioned the culture. I think he's been involved post World Cup which might hint to the culture change bringing the wins.
