Internationals List of "Kiwi Eligible" Players in the NRL NYC 2015

Nobody is reading this thread right now.
Thanks for the info. Hopefully can keep adding more Kiwis to the list. Any idea of the positions they play?

Herman Ese'ese a prop 21 years of age from Auckland whose junior was the Mangere East Hawks made his NRL debut for the Bulldogs against Manly last week.

Piki Rogers also a Kiwi playing Holden cup for the Bulldogs this year good articles below about him. A good read.

Al gud. Te Rupe is a winger and Su'A is in the forwards, 11 or 12 I think. Su'A uncle a good friend of mine and told me he's the youngest in the team at 17. Big raps on him, so I bet Aussie will claim him. Superstar in schoolboy rugby too. Te Rupe looks a big strong winger.

Delouise Hoeter playing his 3rd game in the NRL against the Buldogs. Made his debut in round 4 against the Bulldogs. Also Lamar Liolevave made his NRL for the Tigers in round 4 against the Bulldogs.

Two more Kiwi NYC players added.

Tony Tumusa Meboune Storm
Sione Katoa Penrith Panthers

Both played for the Junior Kiwis in the junior test match.

I guess we could cross Tepai Moeroa off that list, he just played Junior Kangaroos on the weekend

No Under the current rules Tepai Moeroa is still eligible for the Kiwis.

Valentine Holmes first played for the Junior Kiwis in 2013 then switched allegiances to Australia and played for the Junior Kangaroos last year and this year. He could backflip again and play for the Kiwis if he wished too.

Gerard Beale played for the Junior Kangaroos in 2010 then switched allegiances to New Zealand in 2011 and has gone gone on to play for the kiwis seven times in test matches most recently in the Four Nations last year

spoke to a mate involved in the recent anzac camp.

said that camp with men, women & u20s was awesome - had a real 'whanau' vibe to it. no-one acted as if they were bigger & better than any of the others.

said stephen kearney made everyone feel welcome.

something that was mentioned was that when wayne bennett was part of the kiwis squad. he admitted to kearney that the 'culture' and 'mateship' that the kiwi's have is so much beyond that of the Australian team and something Australia would struggle to replicate.

those kiwi roots' camps would definitely help players like jayden nikorima and other kiwi eligible players in australia look more towards us - if we keep winning i really dont see origin having the same pull that it once did

Luciano Leilua younger brother of BJ Leilua second row forward from the Dragons NYC side another Kiwi eligible player.

TBH all that's needed for Origin to lose it's lustre is for Samoa/Tonga/New Zealand to play 3 or more times a year. Most players only commit to Origin for the money. If other nations that the players feel a connection to are able to match (or near enough) the financial benefits of Origin, you'll see a lot of players committing to nations other that Australia.

It's for this reason that I'm hoping the proposed eligibility change that will allow players to player for Samoa/Tonga/Anybody but NZ goes through. We'll still lose a few, but it will strengthen the international game immeasurably.

The Auckland secondary schools rugby comp must have a scout from every NRL club on the sidelines. St Kentigans seem to be the alpha team. You would be dumb to pick Kelston over St Kents for your kid. I wonder how much cash they offer them compared to the super rugby sides. Melbourne would be the team to learn in when you cant make the warriors I believe. The percentage of kiwis in the NRl will grow and grow as will the Islands as they get scholarships in the schools.Soon we will need a list of Aussie players in the NRL nyc as they will mostly look or sound kiwiish. Then we will need kiwi origin as we will get bored of putting 50 on the Aussies in test mtaches who kids are getting smashed out of their sport into soccer. Ok we will never bored of putting 50 on the Aussies.

Depends on whether your kid gets a full scholarship or youre rich. No to both and your kids going to Kelston or Mt Albert Grammar. Simple as that. Both the latter you can attend for the price of stationary and uniform. St Kents will set you back around $25,000 a year. Stationary costs alone are $2000 which what it costs for the uniform as well...
