Ok guys, I think we have a problem on the site that needs to be nutted out and clarified, I'm not having a go or trying to be a smart arse, I love the site and appreciate the work that goes into it, but I'm noticing a few things recently that are making it less and less of a fun place to be. I think some elements are becoming overly, and unnecessarily regulated, monitored for accuracy, edited and corrected etc... Maybe it's just me, but I get the impression people might be holding back from expressing an opinion for fear of being deleted, moved, or corrected.

We're all fans of the same club from all sections of society with differing views, and with that comes an element of human nature which doesn't seem conducive to some of the site's regulations. I understand the need for a professional look, but at the end of the day, are we here for the fans and members? are we here for outside media visitors? are we heading down the News and Information path?

was looking at the recruitment discussion post and as i was about to scroll down i ended up with this loading screen message that i didnt ask for or want. I have tried to work out what it was attached to but it locked on the loading message.

attached is a screen shot for all the good it does. I am using Chrome BTW.


The key point of this is i didnt click on any banners or anything i just moved the mouse to allow me to start scrolling. after clicking the x that came up with the loading message i got this



and any time i move the mouse over the CA tech banner i get a title bar saying expanding, which shows an incrementing blue bar. i refuse to let it run to full length to see what it will do.

Thats weird mate. fanrrior was having similiar issues and seemed to be getting large amounts of popups, and it turned out to be malware/virus unrelated to what is on this site.
What exactly happens when whatever it is is 'loaded'??

It very well could be a rogue advert that has gotten past google so if you see it next time right click on the little blue icon on the right of the advert that says 'ad choices'...and report it. Are you getting this with any other adverts as well?

not with any other adverts. The item never actually finished loading so i cant tell you what would have popped up. This doesnt happen with other ads, so maybe a rogue?? as you say. If i see anything else ill keep you updated.

yeppers wot he says. gave up trying to post during game times (and others come to think) because it just got to darn slow.

Yeah too many ppl trying to access at same time. Have now made it so non registered members can only view 5 pages a day. Priority given to members.

Will need to move to a beefier server next season.

Hi Tajhay, site is getting better and better but one small problem.
The spell check keeps changing Our coaches nickname to "Happy" not Cappy.
Oh, that seemed to work maybe it is when you start the sentence with Cappy.

Nothing to do with the site mate. Its your phones autocorrect settings. "Cappy" isnt a word in the english dictionary and as such is being autocorrected to the commonly used "Happy". I suggest turning autocorrect off or add the word Cappy to your phone's dictionary if possible.

You cant right now. Ill provide an option for that via your account preferences next season.

Its only displayed on desktops.
