I am not so sure that it is to our advantage. Hohaia is a half back who can cover at centre. Rovelli is the preferred half so he is always going to be a bit player.
I would prefer we looked for a specialist centre with size and pace to be effective out wide, particularly as Mannering seems to have lost his pace.

Im going to have to go ahead an agree with Kav here. Signing Hohaia may not be the smartest move for either the Warriors or Lance. Keeping Lance in the squad and possibly not looking outside for another centre may not be the wisest move.
Keeping Lance at the club, and more than likely having him play centre, keeps guys like Start and Mika getting a run in the near future. I for one am disappointed in the potentcy of our backline and would like to have a look at both of these guys before the end of the season.
Lance is always going to be behind JRo, Rovelli and Witt in the halves and Fein and Gatis at hooker. For mine it only looks like Lance will get starts in the centres and a bench spot if one of Gatis or Fein picks up an injury.
Currently Im totally unimpressed by Mannering, I certainly dont rate his impact in the 2nd row and Im unconvinced of his ability to break the line or make room for his winger from playing in the centres. I dont think he is the superstar waiting in the wings alot of people seem to think he is.
Having Martin, Mannering and Hohaia as our centres certainly doesnt bode well for the possibility of buying a centre from another club or bringing one of the lions boys through.
What was one of the main features from our campaigns in 2001 and 2002? An exciting centre / 2nd Row / Wing combination that tore shreads out of the opposition D everytime they go the ball. For mine a combo of Martin, Mannering and Byrne just aint goint to do that. I don't see that impact in the backline in our current FG squad.
So for me the best idea would be to start blooding some of these young centres from the lions when we get the opportunity, next time one of regular centres gets injured or suspended dont fill a gap with someone within the FG squad. Lets have a look at one of our young up and commers.
