Ah what a shame.

Did not sound as though it was going to go ahead, the NZRL had not heard back from the organisers about Covid protocols and the plan.

Hope it goes ahead next year, no reason it should not.

The rfl aren’t happy, apparently they got 4 minutes notice of the announcement by the Aussies. There’s a suggestion that the NRL clubs are behind this, specifically that going into 14 days quarantine on return would cut into pre season training time for the clubs

This would have been my team, haha I know it’s a waste of team but would have loved to see this one given a go.

1. Hughes
2. Dallin Watene-Zelezniak
3. Manu
4 Reimis Smith
5. Rapana
6. Brown
7. Shaun Johnson
8. Bromwich
9 Brandon Smith
10. JFH
11. Nikora
12. Papalii
13. Tohu Harris

14. Nikorima
15. NAS
16. JWH
17. Hamlin-Uele

I know Harris is injured and wouldn’t have played but none are playing so stuck him in anyway, or would have played Liu or Tapine.
Decent team would love to see them play soon.

There's no doubt, the ARL is the NRL essentially. Even the warriors would be stoked, no way they want their players going into another competition after the saga the last 2 years have been.
