So wine and dine and pitch the proposal to the ESL players union or the equivalent first so they can try and get the players on board then pitch it to TV stations who only care about potential ratings they can use the media to leveridge clubs by getting fans on board, get the GB national body to apply pressure to the clubs.

Find a good and respected negotiation team and try and give it a crack if you dont ask you dont get

Dude they won't even release them in time for test matches, they certainly won't do it for this.
It would be good, but it has no show of happening.

It would be good,.

well thats a positive start right there DPM a few more million viewers to think it would be good and wouldnt mind watching it and a proactive GB and NZ rugby league and they could TRY to get the ball rolling, we are either satisfied with the crumbs that fall from the ARL's table or we sit at our own table and eat what we want

The PI nations also need a leg up like the kiwi's.
Surely there would be a competitive team coming out of the Fiji, Samoan, Cook Islands, PNG & Tonga combined national sides.
They have a Governing body. Pacific Islands Rugby League Federation.
and look we could have our own infighting like the SoO over eligibility! :D

Will the Kiwi's have access to SBW ..Sonny Bill next year
once he starts playing for the Roosters.

Could SBW be one of the few (if any), to win a Union World Cup & League World Cup..

Would you want SBW in the team??

yeh Sika should have been in there instead of Adam Blair. But now i think im finally happy with our wingers and center pairing now. as for Beales try im sure there was couple of us thinking that if that was Manu..

Yip i thought the boys played well, for the amount of defending they had to do in that 2nd half and only lose by 8

blair should be out, sika manu in....beale played well and proved me wrong lol

apart from that i think we have the making of good youngish side for next year, still benji has to step up, sometimes nowhere to be found, at times i saw blair at first receiver when we were on theirline, thats where benji should have been !

I believe this was the losing of the game for us. Early in the 2nd half we had several really good positional starts and failed to score points and Blair was a big cause of this.
It was blatantly obvious that Blair was trying too hard and trying to be a creator but all he ended up doing was fighting with the tacklers and producing slow play-the-balls and killing the momentum. He needed to run into holes not be the first/second reciever... we have much better players than him for that. He needs to leave the playmaking to the playmakers and I was yelling at the TV so hard I'm hoarse today. He was a massive liability and he totally messed up our attack.

On Blair, I totally agree. Said as much on the team selection thread earlier so I wont go on.

On Benji, again I totally agree and he seems to go AWOL often. Got outplayed by Shaun Johnson in the Anzac Test as well. Cant wait for Marshall/Foran combo to fire. Beat Oz everytime when they do.

Was a great game despite the result. Looking good for next year. Just sad that one of the Kiwis biggest threat was a Kiwi himself in James 'Turncoat' Tamou. Great play by Nate 'Defecate' Myles too. Bring on the WORLD CUP!

I
The boys played well. |But when I cried at the end of the game the area I pointed to was the halves. i would have loved to have seen Johnson in there, with Foran or Marshall to the utility role. Johnson in his one match has delivered far more than Forqan ever has and Marshall has since 2010. I felt matulino was under utlilised was this true?
I think IMO a lot more going on under the surface at the warriors because none of the warriors played well apart from Simon who always puts in a good shift.Benny was surrounded by quality props but he is one in is own right.imo again sponge is the problem

That's a good idea; have NZ, Fiji, PNG and Samoa playing each other at tests on the SOO free weekends (Tonga, the Cooks etc could play in a tier 2 comp with the top team replacing the bottom team in the other group.)

It would give regular tests to the Pacific islands and sort out the international eligibility fiasco.

We did better last night then I thought. The left edge worried me before the game but the boys muscled up on defence. Blair and Mckendry were my only negatives getting selected ahead of Sika manu and JWH; All the boys selected for us from the 2012 GF teams went awesome IMO.

Wish our halves had a more accurate kicking game, felt they chose the wrong options on the 5th.

All round we went well a few more tweaks to the line up and barring injury + suspension we should go well for the world cup.

Good point the only options that I know of are all young guys , though I saw Matt McilWrick go well for Canberra this year in his limited games, would be something fro the future. For hooker though IMO we need a specialist not these make shift guys we use from time to time at injury cover.

Leuluai TBH is to slow now , experienced campaginer but age has caught him in aspects of his running game, this ain't ESL it's test footy IMO Mara and Seluini could get a shot along with Mcliwrick - positive thiing is they have all played JK's and are committed to the Kiwis.

I'm not a fan of TL, if anything I always rated him for defence but never for his running game in the last few years; watched him this on sky this year and I'm still not wowed by his style of play, rather back a youngster for Hooker - but that's me, at least SK and his team are about form and the team selections reflected that bar 1 or 2.

Good game, played with a lot of structure for a change. The Marshall Foran combo is a real worry, neither of them are contributing at all. Foran seems to be stuck in the headlights, which is the complete opposite to his club form.
Imagine if we just had an average halves combo we would of gone close to winning it
