Out of those 3 I’d go Tooves.
Tough nut, passionate and takes no shit.
Des seems like too much of a complicated dude and Daley I’m not overly fussed on.
Wonder if the 4th is Macguire.
Either way, any of them is a step up from Kidwell.

Hopefully the NZRL has their shit together.

There needs to be an investigation...

Michael Maguire for mine. He is good at getting teams running full peak right off the bat. Hopefully the limited time he spends with players will ensure there is no Rabbitohs type mutiny...

Well they're all a lot better credentialed than kiddy (sorry big fella).
No to Daley great player who only gets coaching gigs because he was such a great player.
No to hasler- gets too cute- I think simpler game plans are better suited to the rep arena.
So it's down to McGuire or toovs and I'd go toovs- just think he holds a bit more mana- I wouldn't want to let the guy down.

How the hell did Betham and Bell end up on a coach selection panel. Geezus.
Whats wrong with either one of them? Both knowledgeable league players who have stayed in league post career. You think you could do a better job???

All Toovey’s proven is that he could take the wheel on Haslers Premiership winning Manly side for a couple of years before losing the dressing room and getting punted to Bradford where his record is probably a truer reflection of his coaching abilities.

If McGuires the 4th candidate I’d have him above the others, a proven coach who can rebuild the Kiwis from scratch and take them to the next World Cup is what’s required.

I’ve gone for Hasler, he doesn’t even no what’s going on let alone the opposition being able to! Also I think I heard the other day Brisbane might punt Bennett if they can get Bellyache.

Betham is a sideline comments man, rightly or wrongly I wouldn't put him in the astute category needed to pick a national coach. And 'Mean Dean' was tits for us as a recruiter and I have little faith in his ability to pick a winner. So yeah I'd do a better job clearly, albeit from the safety of my smartphone.

Also another Bellamy disciple that will suit the Kiwis in that most will be selected from the Warriors and the adjustments will be minor.
Plus, he's a fitness and discipline freak..

At least with Hasler we wouldn't need to worry about him screwing up the salary cap with back ended contracts.

Maguire managed to get Wigan back on track and also got Souths to the premiership after they recruited a lot but no other coaches could get them past mid table. His Souths team weren't the best to watch by the end of his time there. Mind you with the Kiwis forwards that type of play could go well. Smash our way up field and get Johnson and Roger Tuivasa-Sheck to work off that.

I think any of those guys can, and will do, a great job. Isn't it great we have such a high class of coach to choose from for NZ league.....good times ahead for us.

The point of a panel is to screen for the best candidate. Betham and Bell between then have vast experience of NZ League and the kiwis and as such are well placed to establish who is the best fit for the Coach and Players.
