Former Commonwealth Games silver medal-winning wrestler Ken Reinsfield has been appointed the new chairman of the Vodafone Warriors’ board.
Reinsfield (64), who comes into the role for the departed former chairman Rob Croot, had a role with the Vodafone Warriors as wrestling coach under previous head coaches Tony Kemp and Ivan Cleary.

He also managed and trained New Zealand heavyweight boxing champion Shane Cameron during his professional career and has promoted professional boxing in New Zealand and Australia.
During his wrestling career, Reinsfield lost the 74kg final at the 1982 Commonwealth Games in Brisbane and finished sixth in the 82kg class at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Games.
Following his wrestling career, Reinsfield became a foundation member of the New Zealand Olympic Committee’s Athletes’ Commission formed in 1986 and he was also a New Zealand delegate on the Oceania Olympic Academy.

The new chapter's taken a bizarre turn, the previous owner's in hiding from the FBI, the wrestling coach is the new chairman of the board and Tony Iro is still here, he's like a made man.

Bizarre appointment for such an important position at a critical time for the Warriors.

I liked him as Shane Camerons manager, but this is completely different.

Bizarre appointment, even after reading the Warriors PR article I thought part of it was missing. I was looking for the part about his commercial experience , education honours , Nrl pedigree …. In fact anything.

Yeah but you're talking about going up against the Sydney mafia here, maybe we should run this by Bald Tony before we make any rash decisions here Alex

Just looking at this guy's face I think it's a bad move. We have a bunch of guys who are all probably mates? Never has served the warriors well. You guys think head hunters can take ownership next?

What the fuck is wrong with this place! It just reeks.

Gus (development) to Hodges
POS (recruitment) to Hodges
Rob Croot (chairman) to this guy

All in the last 12 months…the leadership team is getting very light
