Jordan Pinnock is his name. Saw on Facebook that's he's signed with us for next year, not sure of contract tier you'd assume NSW Cup. Think he's originally from NZ but played for Dragons & Newcastle U20's and NSW cup.

Here's a highlights video which was shared on Facebook as well - prop/second rower with power behind his runs and a solid tackle technique:

Great video. He is a West Coaster. I honestly cannot remember a bad forward to come out of the West Coast. He sounds like the type of forward that are a dime a dozen in Australia but sort of rare at the Warriors. He could be a late developer as well. I wouldn't be surprised if he got a FG start. At least he seems to be able to tackle. If Kearney is following the lead of Bellamy in that if you can't tackle you aren't wanted we might start to make some progress.

There are a number of faces that are new. Does anyone have a list of trail and train or nsw cup, U20S squad players?

Noticed he never had a starting number on his back.
Impact forward.
What we want coming off our bench.
Big body, looks like a handy pick up.

Dammit - if Pinnock is not good enough for the worst team in 20 years, don't be getting too excited about him.

But can't hurt.

He chased hard from marker, he didn't stand around watching when a ball went loose on the ground, that's good enough for me.

Aside from that....meh. We'll see.

Looks an upgrade on Charlie Gubb already.

Not the most exciting of highlights tape but dude does look like a solid tackler.
Will be interesting to see him in action with us. Late bloomer maybe?

Fark give him a run in the nines just to see that big ranga beard running around in the fiery new jersey. That'll look mint! :D

It will be interesting to see how Jordan Pinnock goes through 2017. The highlights package wasn't the usual flashy stuff but we have enough of that. A lot of defense in that video and he has a nice step to get behind the play the ball with his hit ups. A lot of nice effort plays in there like support plays, chasing from marker etc.

He will have plenty of competition to make first grade. It might be case of the coaching stuff seeing him as a prospect more for 2018.

Good to have another player on board. Not sure how attached to get on a lower tier player, last year it was great to have Henare Wells speed added to the squad. A year later and it's Henare who?

I think its a smart signing considering we need to bolster the forwards without much money to use at the moment. I like that hes developed in an aussie system even if its newcastle, i like that hes come here with some experience under his belt. The measurables seem legit, the size seems a good build, his running style seems ok, definitely needs time to develop the footwork but like danpat said its nice to see him run straight and push through the tackle. He does seem to have already developed a strong defensive game with good wrestling but more solid contact at first impact. Just want to see him given a first grade game at some stage next season to see what he has.

He appears to be a solid worker, nothing fancy but solid. Give me a pack full of those any day with our backline.
Yeah he looks a toiler, head down ass up. he didnt show an offload or being apart of any attacking play. Hes the charlie gubb 2.0 if he can win that 17th -18th man spot

You need guys like Gubb and Pinnock for their energy. Goodness know we have enough 'look like Tarzan, plays like Jane', players.
If for nothing else you need them on the training paddock to show the slackers up. What was that he said? The Warriors have slackers? Yes they bloody do, the hooker being a good example. How many other clubs would have put up with the slackness he exhibited last season?

Interesting that this new prop seems to not been seen play by anyone and has had a less than exciting career so far yet is being talked up as a possible savior of our forward pack. Last year it was Sao and Gavet, before that it was Matagi.
Looks like another NSW cup level signing. I hope I'm wrong.

Speaks volumes of our forward pack doesn't it?:(
