If we can make adjustments and upgrade our game then top 4

If we go in same as last season top 8

Just like any other team we get 2 key injuries we 10th and below

It’s up to our club brains trust to make the necessary tweeks as the opposition will be ready for us
Yeah it all depends on injuries.

We all have a mental list of players we cannot afford to lose, if I were forced to chose three in order of importance then.....

1. Shaun Johnson
2. Wade Egan
3. Tohu Harris.

I believe we can fake it till we make it without AFB, the most obvious omission from my list of worst injury scenarios ranked.

You can counter the loss of the Apex Prop by everyone running harder and faster and throwing in the odd smokey off the bench for impact. You can adapt your game plan somewhat.

You cannot lose Harris for the bulk of the year because he is like Mannering, he holds it all together and leads by example, he also has a critical role in the attack of the side which Mannering did not offer, so when you are talking a guy that tackles like Mannering and attacks like no other forward we have seen then yeah, he is more important than AFB.

SJ being the worst out is obvious, you cannot restructure a side to compensate for one of the best organizers in the NRL.

Similar story with Egan, although his replacement options are brighter than the loss of Johnson, still, Egan is one of the best hookers in the comp and our flow is top four with him, bottom eight at best without.

I think it will be a very close comp.
Titans I think might have a great year with Des and Foran.
Roosters Newcastle to just miss by PD.
South's to finally win something but not the GF.
Luke Brooks and Lodge with Seibold to do what everyone thinks and suck.

I have us 6-8. SJ, Egan or AFB going down will instantly impact our plans at any point in the season. Fingers crossed the replacements will step up big time though.

The NRL is a tight competition and good luck is involved to make the top 8.
The roster, draw, injuries, suspensions, and travel all come into play. Balancing the roster is a big part of it. The salary cap in theory levels the playing field, just ask the Roosters and Storm.
The sports science required to get the best conditioning just adds to the many permutations that produces the product.
Coaching and systems are what seems to get judged the most and luckily that seems to be an area we are perceived to be currently strong.
Keeping all this in mind I think we finish between 3rd and sixth on the ladder.
