Royal is clearly viewed by Scurrah as one of the top 4. Also, Tuimavave is expected to miss the beginning of the season with a neck injury.

The Warriors better have not paid anything for this guy. Especially now there is some talk that the Warriors have expressed interest in Greg Eastwood if his visa is rejected again. Jesse Royal, not a bad player, good offload, but extremly inconsistant, and struggles with ball security and always makes a lot of handling errors. We have decent depth coming through the prop ranks anyway with - Lesson Ahmau, Poching, and Russel Packer. Top line prop's Steve Price and Sam Rapira. I guess hes not a bad insurance for next season 2010 when Steve Price retires, some nrl exprience. Although i still believe Steve Price has 2 more seasons left in him, if managed correctly.
What would everyone's take be if Greg Eastwood was to sign up also?
I'm not quite sure he's really needed, I still haven't written off Lauaki and I'd like to see more opportunities presented down the line for O'Regan as a ball playing backrower.
Yeah I have mixed emotions. I'd love to see him in a warriors jersey but that would just be greedy. We've already got a surpluss of quality back row options if he was to join it would of nullified the whole Lillyman signing and could possibly push the likes of O'Regan or even Matulino out.
I would be happy if we signed him but he definitely is not needed with our current stocks. I would prefer Eastwood any day over Lauaki.
Tuimavave played really well towards the end of last season coming on just before half time hitting the ball up at pace, making some good hits and even popped the odd ball.
He has those phases from time to time but then will lapse back to ordinary for a while.
I wouldn't say he ever plays badly but more often than not he is just reliable and it pi**es me off because he has more to offer.Sometimes you wonder if he feels that making the 17 means he has made it yet other players treat every game like it could be their last and that there is no tomorrow.
Question: Are the Vulcans still playing this year? There was talk of financial issues.
And if anybody suggests he can play at 6 then I'm going to...well...do something drastic.
It's kinda funny how the very next post after TD's was one advocating the possibility of Eastwood at #6... :lol1:
