Howdy y'all. Forgot to post here so here it goes. Posting all the way from New Yawwwk City and need my daily fill of Warrior news as the news, Tweets or the Facebook pages isn't cutting it!

Been a fan of the Warriors through the good, the bad, and the ugly since 2001 and just bought membership a couple of weeks ago. Alot of ugly these days to make me wanna drink but it's all good!
A Mount Smart visit is in the works! Great to be here with all you folks! #letsgonewarriors
Mate welcome, what caught my eye in your post was that you have supported the Warriors since 2001.

2001, what a year to take an interest !

Daniel Anderson inspires a bunch of no names to make their first finals appearance after playing the Warriors greatest game....against the Storm.

It amazes me that someone like you who came along during the Warriors finest hour....has stuck around since the departure of DA and our endless decline, somewhat paused by the doldrums that were the Clearly years.

Respect. True Warrior, unlike me (born and bred on the shit, know no better).

Born and raised in Gisborne NZ.

Living in Coffs harbour NSW now.

Social worker by trade but well versed in picking, weeding of squash, sweetcorn, tomatoes etc.

Very good at night picking.

Warriors fan since day dot.

Was a Tigers fan before that as it was balmain vs Canberra gf i first saw on tv in the very late 80s. Ellery Hanley, Roach, Sironen.

Will always support the Warriors even though I can criticise hard.

I actually played soccer and rugby as a youngster.

Welcome; always good to hear how log people have been supporting the club and some background etc.

Balmain vs Canberra 1989 was the first full game I watched. Been hooked on the sport ever since.

I remember the build up to that game it seemed like it was the biggest game every and you shouldn't miss it. Remember seeing real tigers on TV in the news pieces for a 12 year old or whatever I was then it was the coolest thing ever.

Thanks for the kudos man! I hear ya. They've given me so many heart attacks and strokes simultaneously that I've lost count!!!
Call me crazy but love them even more than my Mets baseball or Rangers hockey here!
The 3 years of DA with the razzle dazzle offloading Warriors was the best of times!!!

3 games stood out for me that year even though I had no choice but to watch the scores refresh on the web.

13-12 win over the Broncos (First win ever against them. I'm saying MAYBE a .500 or even a winning season???)

24-24 draw over the Doggies (scoring 16 in the last 5 minutes with Jones shanking a kick. Salvaged a point in the most epic way possible!!! Now I'm saying, do we have something special here? Love watching the highlights of that game on YouTube)

24-24 draw over the Storm (What a hard hitting, heart-pounding, intense match!!! Watched the score at 5am here! I wish the team now would play with 1/2 as much intensity, emotion and passion as them.)

Awesome JC1.
It'd be good to see some posts about the Women's game.

Welcome aboard.

Gotta round abit but this is my first (Proper) year.

Stayed in Auckland all my life.
Never ventured outside. Went to Grammar (Auckland) for high school.
Apart from that nothing much pretty boring. Jumped on the '11 hype train.
Somehow haven't got off.

I've been registered on site for a few weeks and enjoying the banter so will hang around.

British bloke in his late 50's, aside from 3 years living amongst the great unwashed in London I've always lived in the north of England. Born in a rural region with an RL history, Cumbria, moved around for work reasons and for the last 16 years lived in a small town about 15 miles from central Manchester. It's the same small town that test cricketer Chris Harris was team professional for in the mid 90's, he must have liked it as he spent 3 seasons here.

Follow RL, although because pro RL in Cumbria is now a basket case I don't really follow a team, Salford if any though because I work there. Follow football and Sunderland is my team. Have a bit of a soft spot for Warriors as the only non Aussie team in the league, followed them more closely in the last year or so because of a family connection with Auckland. Following Warriors and Sunderland I could hardly be described as a glory hunter. My first recollection of NZ test rugby was the Orchard brothers

Never a rugby player, not strong enough. Middle distance running was my game so know about everyone from Arthur Lydiard to John Walker. I cycle a bit nowadays.

Married for 26 years with two grown up daughters. Drinks beer and watches TV, it's cold over here.

Just for you brother:

Blimey, I would have watched that at my grandparents house aged 11. NZ captain I had forgotten about, a tenuous link with my county of birth. Fletcher Christian was a Cumbrian, born in Cockermouth.
Doesn't seem like 46 years ago!

Fletcher Christian was one of our finest centres and Captains, and there have been a few. He played for Otahuhu in Auckland. Chris Hesketh was the Great Britain captain. Quite a small crowd at the Willows that day. There was a big club match on at Wigan I think.

Road behind the stand opposite is Weaste Lane. I drive along it to go to work. Ground was demolished a couple of years ago, now a partly completed housing development.

Sorry mate, should have explained myself a bit better. I meant Fletcher Christian of Mutiny on the Bounty fame, very distant ancestor of the captain.
