Former Rooster (mostly reserve grader), went to Parramatta, from memory suffered a horrific injury from a kick off (team kicked off, the ball held up in the wind, he caught the ball and got absolutely monstered), then left mid season to go to Bradford.

No thanks. Seriously, to me it's either George Gatis, Lance Hohaia or a bloke out of the Lions for interchange rake. Why are the names of Marsh, Stu Webb, Heath L'Estrange and now Ian Henderson entering into this?

As George showed last night, get him behind a dominant pack and he'll make your outside backs look like a million dollars. He's a scrapper, who knows how to put a man into a good situation if he's got time to do it.

i'd rather we sign wellington halfback/fullback ben taraeka. hes been carving up for them this season, and scored 3 trys today. great player.

you guys forget so quickly the absolute blunders george gatis has made in games before last nights. he has one good game and you're saying keep him?
come on.
the only two reason's we should keep george gatis are:
1- we get him supercheap
2- we miss out on anyone else

George is not as bad as people make out. He has shown on more than one occasion that he he can step around a defender and put a bloke throught a gap.

Sure, he will never be our greatest buy, he'll never be considered for rep footy, but he's probably a good value for money purchase, considering much our cap is tied up next year with Price and Tate.

And for a dude that's been in and out of the top grade, he's got a good attitude, he just keeps on fighting. I saw him in a bartercard game last year when it was freezing cold, and he had one of those long sleeve tops on . . .

I mean the guy could have easily have bailed out of here and gone back to the fish n chip shop, but instead he's here, trying as hard as he can to cement a spot.

And he showed last night he deserves a contract with us.

Like who? Pj's obviously out of the question, Webb I have no idea but I don't really see much difference between him and Georgie. Anyone else I odn't know are either a little too expensive or something.

I'm not going on last night's performance alone also calculating his games last year and this year before he got dropped and when he was brought back in. Him and Fien have been working really well together since being given their dummyhalf roles and I don't really want to see it broken up. The chemistry there is worth keeping.

Hi kicking is pretty ordinary and his service from dummy half is appalling sometimes but he can run the ball and he'd got tru grit as sports thought pointed out. Besides if we let him go we'll need to find other Cowboy to replace him and I don't wanna do that Paul Dezolt thing again.

Now this is very strange, a couple of months ago I mentioned that I heard we were close to signing atleast one person from the ESL, Henderson was one of the two. I had assumed this had fallen through.

What i had heard at the time was that we were in talks with Henderson and a kiwi over there who is desperate to get out of his club, makes me wonder if this 2nd bloke will come over now.

Have also heard that we have casually spoken to a kiwi player, playing in a Sydney PL team - he hasnt seen alot of FG yet if you get my drift. In my opinion this should be the boy we chase, there would be alot of happy campers here if we got HIS signature.

In my opinion I dont see anything wrong with the Henderson signing.

"
Ian joined the Bulls in June last year from Parramatta in Australia and immediately made a big impression with his enthusiasm and ability from Dummy Half and played in every game after his arrival. A Hooker, he was born in Torquay and emigrated to Australia when he was eight years old. He formerly played for the Sydney Roosters and will be at the Bulls until the end of 2007. Was a member of the Bulls side that took the Grand Final in 2005.
Date of Birth: 23/04/83
Height: 5ft 9in
Weight: 91kg
Position: Hooker
"

"Ian is the brother of Andy Henderson of Castleford Tigers and Kevin of Wakefield. He is of Scottish descent and plays for Scotland at international level."

"Signed for the Bulls in 2005, where he made a massive impact in helping Bradford win the Super League Grand Final. Since the arrival of Terry Newton, Henderson has found it hard to gain selection into the Bulls run on Team."

Prey do tell?

ESL based Kiwi would not of been a good signing, hasnt played NRL for a while, a back, not looking to flash over there.

Sydney based Kiwi is a good player, could be anything really, dont think theyve played for the NZ A before, but you hear their name mentioned abit by kiwis on LU

Very cryptic...

Good to see Lauaki stay, he's frustrating at times, but perhaps with a few more games he can start to gain consistency in his game. His game last night was outstanding. THAT's the Lauaki I want to see in action.

At a guess, i'd say the ESL player whose not looking too flash would be Vaeiliki.

Have no idea who the Sydney player could be. Could'nt give us a position or current club there Mix?

i (respectfully) beg to differ with you guys.
i've seen georgie make some pretty horrible decisions on the pitch.
going blindside when he shouldn't, running from dummy when its not on, kicking out on the full.
i think its a case of him trying to hard. because his playing future is under threat.
maybe if he is resigned he may relax more into his work, i dont know.

Three of the Warriors' Australian players are being released at the end of this rugby league season.

Vodafone Warriors chief executive Wayne Scurrah says centre Tony Martin, winger Todd Byrne and hooker George Gatis have been released due to salary cap constraints.

Martin is in his fourth season with the club, Byrne his third and Gatis his second.

Coach Ivan Cleary says the trio have made a real contribution to the club.

The Warriors have retained Kiwi second rower Epalahame Lauaki, and signed hooker Ian Henderson from English Super League club the Bradford Bulls.

The club has also secured three of New Zealand's best young players.

Back rower Scott Jones, wing Malo Solomona and prop Leeson Ah Mau will remain with the club until at least the end of the 2009 season.

Vodafone Warriors chief executive Wayne Scurrah says the signings have brought the club closer to completing its NRL recruitment plans.

He says the club is also in discussions with Logan Swann who's on a one-year contract.

there you all are, its official
