Iafeta Paleaaesina

2003 Iafeta Paleaaesina

Price is going outstandingly in my humble opinion. He was brought here to do a job, get 150 metres, make 20 tackles a game. He does it.

The Warriors mistake in terms of variation was allowing Iafeta Paleaaesina to leave. Price, Wiki and Paleaaesina were a terrific trio. Sadly though, Feka's no longer here, Wiki's horribly out of form, and Price just keeps plugging away.

On the back of yesterday, there's two names I'd mark down before anyone elses. S Faumuina and S Price. They're doing their jobs, and doing them very well. Time for the rest of them, particularly R Wiki, T Byrne and N Fien to chime in and do their parts also.

Big boy Iafeta Paleaaesina may have recieved some big dollars to go to Wigan. But boy oh boy he may be playing in the lower grades next year !! Withthe once super club now looking like they are going to be relegated !!

Do you think me might want to come home?

I guess the main question would be how well is he going over there? Would any other U.K clubs be rushing to wave the chequebook under his nose if Wigan gets the arse at the end of the season?

Still, I'd love to see him back - the sooner the better.

I hear he's doing really well. But then again, I've heard all sorts of things...lol...

Would he have a relegation release clause?Probably not considering Wigan would never have they'd be floundering down near the bottom of the table.

It'd be nice to have him back for sure.

Wigan will not get relegated. They'll extend the competition to keep them in.

He is spending a lot more time on the field.

And I can see why the Warriors let him go, a crowd favourite for sure, but a bit lax in the defence department, sorry to say this, but bit of a 1 trick pony.....

If Wigan are relegated then they're going to have to release players. National One's salary cap is only $960,000 and Trent Barret alone will be worth a little under half of that. And Barrett has already said he'll still play for Wigan if they get relegated.

Like playdaball said though, I doubt Wigan will get relegated. The National One winner has to reach a certain criteria before they're accepted. If you look hard enough you can find something that doesn't match that criteria. Wigan will get a reprieve.

I said it before he left and I'll say it again now. He buggared off for the money, so he can stay buggered off.

At the end of the day DMM, you could argue Ruben Wiki and Steven Price buggered off for the money when joining the Warriors.

As sad as it is, money talks - if a competitor offered me $10K more per year, I'd certainly consider it.

Cant argue with that Iafeta. But to be an understudy to Price and even Wiki, then another couple of years he could have demanded that at the Warriors , and more. FRom the games I've seen him in up there, he hasnt' really progressed much, if at all.

millward didnt have a clue with feka though, he played him like kempy did, 7 minutes a game.

i,d have him back.

Trouble is, I cant see any of them coming back. Sorry, with one exception. Stacey.

I'd be more inclined to take a shot at Asotasi first. I'd hate to see him end up in the ESL and with all those rumours going around that's a possibility.

Don't know if he'd be keen to start behind Rubes and Pricey, but Ackland could have a bit of pulling power. All depends on what our salary cap is looking like I guess. I'd be surprised if we picked up any buys of note for next year and judging by the recent re-signings it looks like management is doing the smart thing and securing the future first before worrying about the present.

Yep Asotasi.

Would take a look at Fui Fui also. Do you know a bit about him. Okay, I'll tell ya. He turned up at the Eels training two years ago. Right !!!. Does his press-ups, a quick sprint or two. Winds down and packs his training gear away. Then he is OFF. Outa there.
WHOA, !!! crys out the coach, you've only been here ten minute, and you're leaving. Sure said FUI FUI, you only give me ten minutes on the field, cant see any reason to train any longer.

True Story.

Yeah legendary story there on Fui Fui. Sad thing is he was once signed to the warriors as a development player. But I suppose thats just league.

Definetly take a look at Asotasi. Ackland does have a connection there. I was told by someone inside the league community that apparnetly before the salary cap scandal Sonny Bill and Asotasi were being lined up for the Warriors. We may still have a shot at Asotasi. Especialy with the chance Toopi and Webb might not be resigned and Tony Martin and perhaps Byrnes time ending as well.

We dont need any more props or fowards right now, we need halves.

If wigan did somehow go down feka would proabbly go to another uk club. I doubt the warriors would have that much cash for next year anyway and most likely nothing compared to what the uk clubs can offer

that's right, i can't believe evryone's talking about buying asotasi,
A.) When he goes on the open market he'd be the third highest valued prop on the market (which we can't afford, hello -4 ?)
B.) The reason we can't afford him is because we have the 2 highest paid props already at the club. why buy another?
C.) as one-eyed-warrior pointed out what's the point in having 3 AAA class props if we got CCC class halves?
Priorities People.
P.s, We would never have a great chance in signing Sonny Bill. He hates the warriors more than any other team.
