Thing is Blake Ayshford can play in the forwards.

Anyway. Going to start a thread where people can vote based on positions. Really interested to see how a forum 17 stacks up against our actual starting 17 come Round 1...
Good idea. Use your moderating powers.

Not a fan of Ayshford in the forwards but possibly as a stop-gap if we ran out on the interchange bench. They kind of entertained the thought when he was at the Tigers, and Lawrence too for that matter after his serious hip injury really put the brakes on his career.

Good idea to get a positions thread going!

At the 45 vote mark the order of selection is:

1. Shaun Johnson
2. Issac Luke, Roger Tuivasa-Sheck, Bodene Thompson, Simon Mannering, Ryan Hoffman, Ben Matulino
8. Manu Vatuvai
9. Tuimoala Lolohea, Albert Vete
11. Thomas Leuluai
12. Jacob Lillyman
13. Konrad Hurrell
14. Lig Sao
15. Solomone Kata, Jeff Robson
17. Blake Ayshford

18. Charlie Gubb, Sam Lisone
20. Ben Henry
21. Ali lauitiiti
22. David Fusitua
23. Jonathan Wright
24. RFM
25. Matt Allwood
26. Sione Lousi
27. John Palavi, Ken Maumalo, Henare Wells, CNK, Mason Lino..

So the grand final team, if picked from the top 17, would be something like...

1. RTS
2. Lolohea
3. Hurrell
4. Ayshford/Kata
5. Manu/Kata
6. Shaun Johnson
7. Robson/Leuluai

8. Lillyman
9. Luke
10. Matulino
11. Thompson
12. Hoffman
13. Mannering

14. Leuluai/Robson
15. Vete
16. Ayshford/Manu/Kata
17. Sao

So, seeing as Manu is our first choice winger, it seems like the forum is picking a very light bench to win the GF for us. Maybe with the new interchange rules that's not a bad idea?

Or it shows, that like most things on this forum, we have very little to no idea what is happening ;)

This is what I dont like about this thread. Its open to too much personal interpretation. Do you seriously believe that 95% of people who voted for Manu Vatuvei would have him off the bench? Surely he's first choice winger...

I think the poll is good for a one hit wonder... If there was another poll, with all the question mark positions it could clarify it and give us the forums best team in two polls...

So the votes in the clarification poll would be Manu the winger, or Manu the forward..
And then further down the list, Lolohea the winger, or Lolohea the center, or Lolohea the Half back...

That way, with two simple polls, we can get the GF team sorted for the coaching staff once and for all...;)

Optimistic question, need a crystal ball, to hard to pick - based on the players history we know, the team picks itself. But based on form, do as the aussies do whoevers playing at top form at the time gets in...

Just trying to add something to pass the time while we wait for news and training thread to update.
Hopefully it is a bit of fun without being disrespectful and hope this will cause positive debate if so.

But we all know , changes happen through form , injury , or just have to be made for experiment if they are playing for pride / dead rubber games , or just to upset the playoff situation.

At the end of the season we see some clubs teams who have made notable changes come finals time.
.
For example. Penrith , who would of thought they would go well without there two Kiwi internationals , an 18year old half , a makeshift stand off from the back row, a couple bench players rated 2nd tier.
And a talented Englishman, unproven at NRL level.

Have fun projecting our Warriors or other dumb teams in seeing what we will have come finals time.

1-Roger Tuivasa-Sheck , vying for Dally M player of the year
2-Fusitua is NRL leading try scorer
3-Ayshford leads try assists.
4-Kata , adds a pass to his game
5-CNK comes in for injured Manu
6-Foran resigns and takes captaincy
7-Johnson , competing with Foran and Roger Tuivasa-Sheck for the Dally M Award
8-Matulino takes starting spot and is in for Dally M prop
9-Luke recaptures form and stays off young guns.
10-Vete thrives off rejuvenated Matulino
11-Thompson moves into the elite back row category.
12- Bunty takes his captains spot after serious Hoffman injury
13- Mannering turns down captaincy
14- Roache continues to learn from Luke
15- Sipley stamps his mark as a first grade bookend
16- Mid season swap
17- Lisone stays off Gavet and Gubb.

Have some fun with it:

The NRL bans Foran despite no evidence, the warriors keep him on as a waterboy and the team fires up at the injustice of it all with Hingano becoming the new Nathan Cleary or Ash Taylor in his place. The ensuing human rights investigation into his treatment by the NRL uncovers longstanding systematic corruption in head office. And the bunker. And judiciary. And everything else that annoys me about the code. Greenburg et al are led away in chains and pelted with fruit in the village square by yokels with no teeth wearing winfield cup jumpers.

Also they have this free money they can no longer spend on foz, and get some sort of forward leader to get some intimidation into the nice gentle fellows we have up front.

Also, Klokstad earns his wing place on merit and Vatuvei goes to the bench as the late game running sub. A bit serious with this one, if Gerard Beale can be an impact player, who better than the beast to take 2 runs in a set for the last 20 minutes.

I like Roache a lot, but Issac Luke gets back to playing 80 minutes without looking like he might collapse. And kicks all the goals.

A humbled and hardworking Lolohea makes a great fist of right centre replacing the solid Ayshford.

Ryan Hoffman and Jacob Lillyman treat every game like its origin circa 2014, then immediately retire after the grand final win.
