That's 2 rounds gone, and two embarrassing losses.

Rd 1 vs Eels loss by 20, 36-16
Rd 2 vs Dragons loss by 19, 31-12

I missed the dragons game (fortunately or unfortunately). Judging by the score alone and the fact that we were playing at home, I find it hard to believe it was an improvement on Rd1.

Anyway, please have a go at predicting the Warriors first win.

I put hard earned money on the Warriors winning in R1, and was foolish enough to put more hard earned $ in Rd2.

Hoping against the Tigers, but they mauled the Titans today by 30 points!

so bugger if I know when our first glorious victory will happen.

I would imagine that the team will be torn apart from coach to every last player if we can't get a win inside 4 rounds. We will get cleaned up in Townsville but the players will realise their careers are riding on the Tigers game. but it won't last. They will play well in that game and bring another inept performance the next round.

I think you need to extend your first win options up to round 10 at the minimum...

or the first game against a top three side who we usually beat

Accountability is the way to go. If you aren't performing, including the coach because the players aren't listening to him then goodbye. Same goes for the players as well.

Cows | loss – expect the threats from mgmt will have them improve a bit and give the best performance of the year, but not enough, cowboys by 12
Tigers | win – they will have to avoid 0-4, for their own professional credibility, some desperation is shown, the tigers are dangerous but fragile, the kind of team the warriors might actually bully
Sharks | loss – tough place to play, the cheats season is off to a rough start, might be the more desperate team
Bulldogs | flip a coin, eventually they’ll win at eden park, it’s not out of the realms of possibility
Dragons | loss – they have no reason to even respect the warriors, probably put 40 on them at home, and they aren’t even good

A 1-6 (or 2-5 if you’re feeling generous) start with an easy draw, going to be a long dark winter…

Perfectly capable of being 4-3 as well, sharks are injury hit and could get an asada bomb dropped on them (knowing the warriors luck it will be the week before their game and they will be all fired up with indignation and whip us, like the storm in 2010) the bulldogs have zero cutting edge in attack and the dragons (as stated) aren’t even that good, they scored 5 tries on Saturday, 4 of them were directly from warrior error or opportunistic 50/50 bounce of the ball stuff.

But then what do I know, I’m tipping at like 10%.

We will go to Townsville, we will do better than expected, and then everyone will say it's a fluke because they've had the shits put up them.

Then they will go to Welly and beat the Tigers, because any team on the day and cause upsets, and great results, but yet they'll be lambasted because they're still got the shits put up them.

Then they'll go to Sharkville and win, but then people will say it's a fluke win because the Sharks have major injury problems and the ASADA problems. But they'll have Andrew Fifita back then, but even then that's not point.

Then they'll come to Eden Park and beat the doggies, some will moan it was expected of them because they have bad backs and great forwards.

It's either dammed if they do and dammed if they don't around here.

Don't be ridiculous. It's actually "damned if you don't, damned if you are Ropati."
None of that matters because we aren't going to win those games.

My optimistic streak suggests we will beat the obviously superior Cowboys through pure grit and determination. But then my realist streak reminds me we've shown practically no grit or determination in the last two seasons.

vs Tigers is my guess. But it won't be the answer to our futile prayers. Or the dawn of a better tomorrow. It will simply be a fleeting glimpse of positivity and light, a false hope to be swiftly devoured by the quagmire of misery and human ineptitude which is the Warriors.

Are we looking at a new illness to be diagnosed shortly.

WSD

Warriors Season Depression.

I know I suffer from it. Luckily it is disorder that is comes and goes. I suffer it from the weekend, but by about Thursday I start to come out of it, and by gameday I feel OK, but about 80 minutes after kick-off it starts again. By October I seem to come out the other side, only to have a relapse in early March.

Thought it was going to be Round 1.

Then I thought surely Round 2.

Now Im starting to feel disillusioned and my patience is wearing thin. Just fucking you is all I can say...

Im not expecting us to beat the Cowboys so probably get first win against them this weekend
