Just bumping this thread as now only 2 weeks to the end.

If there is anyone wondering whether they might provide support now is the time to do so.

So far through this forum we have raised $3179 - can we get to $3500?

Completed our last significant training walk on Sunday - 16.73kms in 3h 39mins so we are ready to go

We are now just 5 days before the walk

If you have been intending to support us but haven’t got around to it then now is the time to do so by following this link

After the boys performance in the weekend there will be some of you still on a high just itching to celebrate so why not celebrate by making a donation to this cause

Today we completed the walk.

Just like the Warriors we under promised but over delivered as by the time we arrived at the City Mission we had actually walked 18.09kms.

The weather was favourable starting out coolish but warming as the morning wore on.

We stopped for a coffee break after around 8kms and then had our next stop after 16kms at the Devonport wharf as we waited around 20 minutes for the ferry - a pity that we can’t walk on water. The distance in the ferry is in addition to the 18kms walked.

For those that want proof I include screenshots from Map My Walk.

The Mission has raised $117,310 through this fundraising and I’m grateful to say that Warriors fans have contributed $3,789 of that.

In addition we raised a further $3,099 through family, friends and acquaintances so the total my wife and I, with the support of a large number of people, added to the pot was $6,888.

We, the Mission and no doubt the homeless who will benefit from your generosity are truly grateful.

Nga mihi

Thank you so much for your donation to Mr & Mrs Dixpat in support of The Big Mission Home. We are so proud of them who walked in the footsteps of people sleeping rough in Auckland, some of who walk as far as 17km each day to access essential food and support.

We have been blown away by the incredible generosity received from both participants and donors. Thanks to you we have raised nearly $130,000 to provide practical support, a welcoming community and hope for Aucklanders in greatest need. We are blown away by this result, which will make a real and tangible difference to those in our city doing it tough.

Your generosity is helping to provide hot meals and wrap-around support for people experiencing homelessness, and access to safe, permanent homes.

You are helping to provide food parcels for families who could otherwise not afford nutritious kai.

With your support, our doctors and nurses are providing specialist health care to address the impacts of living in poverty, sleeping rough and addiction.

Our life-changing work simply would not be possible without the generosity of people like you and Dixpat.

Thank you
