I personally think Warriors players sometimes get done over by things that never eventuate, they have all said Tuis future is at 6, when? Sign Foran for 1 year and expect Tui stay at the club with his talent? So Foran goes, Tui goes, we are left with Ata. 2018. I think Lino could do far better elsewhere than playing NSW cup. IMO Johnson is the one not performing to expectation, but I dont put that all on him, I think its often whats around him. Dont sign Foran, by a decent impact Prop and give the darn guy a shot at 6 instead of playing him in every position he is not native too. Keep Ata as the back up. Let Lino decide his future (Im really quite shocked a number of clubs havnt poached him)

But what is Tuis' talent. He hasnt shined anywhere on the park in FG. I would feel no compulsion to keep him at this stage. You have players for the other positions already so its only 5/8 that matters and for that there is Mason and Ata. Foran comes in behind them until hes proven ok to play, without it making him suicidal. So Tui is surplus to requirements at the moment.
Mason and Ata are both given opportunity to show their stuff and Foran is a possibility that might be worth investigating eventually (if the NRL sign off on him, and if he gets his head right and if he doesnt run back to his family in Aus).
Thought competition was good? And Lolo would have trouble asserting himself after a disappointing second half to the season. Not saying it's his fault, but he may be happy to start at FG at wing under Kearney. I'm hoping Shaun Johnson starts firing, as he could be dropped if he continues like he did in 2016. I totally disagree. A lot of the aussie commentators were saying he should have got rookie of the year for his ability to play at 5 different positions which were all not native to him. Throw Foran, Ata, Lino at Wing, Full back, Centre, Rake and see how well they do.
He didnt do as well this year but hes a 5/8th he should have been playing that position. Just because Roger Tuivasa-Sheck got injured he didnt. The one time he did play with Johnson was when he got injured but they played really well together before that happened.
I say give Tui a chance at 6 then judge the man. I bet he would surprise you how good he is if you didnt watch his early career.
Lino wont get a go again at the halves if we keep Tui and Ata and if Foran is signed one will leave imo. Signing Foran would be a stupid move imo. It would be worse than signing Hoffman or Robson. What was Robson signed for when they should have played Tui then and called Wells up to first grade for Full Back, that is why we bought him I thought. Wells got 2 tries in our pre lim loss on the weekend in NSW cup. Tui, Fusitua, Lillyman should never have been back up Full Back, if we hadnt have sold our prodigy FB u21 player to the bull dogs we wouldnt have had this problem either. I feel our Roster management and fore site is piss weak.
I think this would do him the world of good and get the message across. We believe in your talent but your not delivering on your X factor which is what you get paid the big dollars for, but its not all his fault. He was #1LB ass, and #3 Try ass, so he clearly still can put players through gaps, we just lack players who can finish. Its his X factor running game hes just not playing and at times his grubber goes so wrong he misses the ball with his foot. I think he may still be worried about his ankle, which surprises me as i thought he was one of the more mentally tough in our team. If in the oppositions 40, Id rather see Shaun run the ball on the 5th than put up a pre scripted bomb, i think hes good enough to get 6/10 attempts running as successes either in passing to a back up player or scoring himself. Well thats how good he USE to be.
Yep, his gaps get created on 5th tackle. He can run at least 20 metres, or kick for 40 metres with a kick return. Needs to mix it up.

I agree re foran hes a real gamble and i hope not getting paid much. I heard talk about a contract for Jamal Indris which was based on match payments only until he proves himself. Thats the sort of thing i think you do for Foran.
Lino is playing well in the halves IMO at NSW cup and is an effective backup to ATA if required. Ata is who i would have starting in the new year. But Tui i just dont see it. Playing 5 positions poorly should never get you a rookie of the year IMO. Yes coaching has had a massive impact on the young man. But thats the cards he was dealt. And preforming at under 20s doesnt rate with me at all. I dont even watch it anymore.
Look at Fusitua. He also played multiple positions and owned them each and every time. I would have him ahead of Tui in all categories as a player, but it took him time to get there. Maybe Tui needs time, but not time in FG

This year its not just the positional changes, but his role in general being mucked around. I doubt any other half including Foran could have handled what Tuis been put through any better.
Play him at 6 and then judge him. They said he would be 6 for 2017 and thats where his future lies, live up to your words warriors club.
My aussie mates cant believe what we are doing with him and think hes uber talented and were appalled at him being benched in the rain when we need a fast runner, especially in the last 30 mins.
Fusitua should be good at FB/Wing, generally all wingers are. 6 is a specialist position. Its like chucking Lillyman into 4 back positions and hooker and saying he sucks because he didnt have a great year.
