Going to rattle off some statements that you can say is either Fact or Fiction and you can back it up with a couple of sentences as well.

4. Johnson and Townsend will be the starting halves round 1 against the Eels

I see us losing to the Eels again, winning round 2 and then losing round 3 against the cowgirls.

4. Johnson and Townsend will be the starting halves round 1 against the Eels
With TL out and Townsend showing some strong leadership characteristics during preseason I reckon Elliot will pick these two against the Eels.

Most Improved Player: Big year for Laumape I reckon
Most Disappointing Player: Im picking Locke or Hurrell.
Best Back: Tomkins
Best Forward: Matulino
Player of the Year: Matulino

Im picking Matulino will be back to his best this year.

1. Warriors will make the top 8 this year and will be pushing for a top 4 place
Fact - Warriors will be 5-6, just missing the cut for Top 4

2. Tomkins will be the Warriors leading try scorer
Fact - where Locke lacked in support tuns up the middle in 2013, Tomkins will be there.
He'll also push Johnson for most try assists.

3. Warriors will start the season 3 - 0
Fiction - I believe they'll have learnt from last year the threat that the Eels can pose Round 1, and will overcome a disjointed re-jigged Eels side in an ugly error ridden game,

4. Johnson and Townsend will be the starting halves round 1 against the Eels
Fact - and Townsend should stay there for the remaining 25 rounds plus finals. TL for Hooker once he returns.

5. Warrior awards this year

Most Improved Player: Either Sione or Sam Lousi, depending which one cracks it and holds a spot.
Most Disappointing Player: Hurell
Best Back: Tomkins
Best Forward: Jason Bukuya
Player of the Year: Sam Tomkins

1. Warriors will make the top 8 this year and will be pushing for a top 4 place
Fiction- good chance for the top 8- top 4 nah

2. Tomkins will be the Warriors leading try scorer
Fact- I think our wingers should score a few tries this year too but I'm not sure who they will be.

3. Warriors will start the season 3 - 0
Fiction be lucky to go 1-0

4. Johnson and Townsend will be the starting halves round 1 against the Eels
Fact

5. Warrior awards this year

Most Improved Player: matagi- should get a lot more game time.

Most Disappointing Player: Locke- think he will struggle to hold down a first grade spot.

Best Back: Johnson- still improving and having pomkins there should take a lot of pressure off him

Best Forward: rapira- he was really building as the year wore on and some of these new rules should work in his favor. Hope to see him injury free and back to his best.

Player of the Year: Johnson- read above

FACT-Thinking we might be round the 5/6 mark. Hoping for #1 ofcourse

FICTION-Im sure Tomkins will score plenty but I think he'll set up more.

FICTION-Hope im wrong but we usually have a shit start hope we come out firing and never stop though.

Most Improved Player:Chad Townsend-Not sure if it counts but chose him as I hope we get a Maloney type player who comes here as a fringe player and becomes a star.

Most Disappointing Player:Has the potential to be Locke if he doesnt get a spot and sulks, im hoping we get the competition bringing out the best in him though.

Best Back:TL half isnt really his best position yet he still went well hoping at hooker he can really shine.

Best Forward:Matulino, Packer situation hopefully gave him a scare and he nails it this year.

Player of the year: Sam Tomkins-Hoping we got an SBW type player here...

 

[Ever Hopeful]

1. Warriors will make the top 8 this year and will be pushing for a top 4 place
FACT - Easier draw this year has us finishing 6th

2. Tomkins will be the Warriors leading try scorer
FICTION - I think Vatuvei will be put into space a lot more by the extra playmaking skills/threat of Tomkins (If he stays on the park)

3. Warriors will start the season 3 - 0
FICTION 2-0 until the Cowboys are their first slip up

4. Johnson and Townsend will be the starting halves round 1 against the Eels

Most Improved Player: Johnson - Tomkins and the structured play of Townsend + some extra playmaking options at hooker with TL takes a bit of heat off him and allows him to flourish (or at least be needed less for meaningless kicks)
Most Disappointing Player: Depends whether Bukuya gets a drugs ban. Hard one for me Locke/Mateo/Hurrell - If all three fire we will be contenders, I'm picking that Locke has an uphill battle to do anything but disappoint.
Best Back: Tomkins
Best Forward: Mannering at lock
Player of the Year: Tomkins

No idea. Great thing about this comp is that you can't predict it. Could be crap, could be great....I'm hoping for the latter.

No idea. The only thing I can say as fact is he will get less space and time in the NRL than he did in the ESL.

No idea. All I'm hoping is we stop losing the opening match against the fucking Eels!

No idea. Elliott's well known for his "wtf!" moments so who knows.

Most Improved Player: One of the Lousi's have to come good you'd like to think.
Most Disappointing Player: Lol possibly Tomkins with the way he was talked up on here during the offseason I expect him to walk on water.
Best Back: Better be Tomkins for the money we forked out on him
Best Forward: Mannering
Player of the Year: Mannering.....pretty safe bet, he's the only one day in day out plays with the same consistency and intensity. The dude may be a quiet captain but I can see why they hold him up as the example.....he sets the standard as far as I'm concerned.

Feleti Mateo – compared to the rubbish he served up most of last year, due for a big season
Most Disappointing Player:
Dominic Peyroux – If he is filling in for fatty Konrad or being centre / back row cover on the bench, it'll be disappointing, hard worker, don’t see much else on offer.
Best Back:
Sam Tomkins – best attacking back anyway, defensively we shall see.
Best Forward:
Simon Mannering - if he gets more support from the rest of the forwards, and plays 13, expect a stormer of year.

A fact who's proof is inversley proportionate to Tomkins fitness.

Hopefully not. As our play maker I hope other people are getting over the line on the edges. Lead in try assists with a three way split in the vein of Fa'afili , Toopi , Meli epic Try race.
If Pomkins has to go hungus to score the Try's himself we're not going anywhere.

Fact. A lot of noise coming out of camp about the confidence the Pommy rainmaker has brought with him. Look for a hot streak to go horribly flat mid season amidst rumors of Matt Elliots coaching replacement.

Who knows. It won't be Elijah Taylor thank fook

Most Improved Player: Konrad Hurrell. by being a Pig in the off season he has given himself an unfair advantage in ' ground to make up' over the others. Wait for the article about Hurrell being at his leanest , wait for our new fullback to put him through gaps.
Most Disappointing Player:
Lousi. There can be only one , and it may just be both are just big duds
Best Back:
Hopefully Johnson , it's a chase for Tomkins head start kick arse career to date.
Best Forward:
A Lousi there can be only one. Hopefully one of them is Willie Mason

Fact. Given Locke and Leuluai are both injured I think it's pretty clear that it will be Townsend and Johnson.

While I don't think Tomkins will get the most tries, I think he will be very influential and will set up a lot of tries, going on for a POTY award due to his name that probably should have gone to Johnson ( ;p )

FACT. Obviously no one knows but for sake of some players and staffs future employment they have too. I personally will struggle to follow a 3 year rebuilding phase.

FICTION. History (9 years running) says Manu will be the top try scorer or share the honours.

FICTION. Not once in our clubs history have we ever gone 3 nil up in our first 3 games. In fact, we have only ever won our first game 5 times since we joined the competition.

Fact. Given Locke and Leuluai are both injured I think it's pretty clear that it will be Townsend and Johnson.

FACT - I think it could go one of two ways, either the side gels very well early on, and we push top 4, or it takes a while to get going and we scrape into the 8 with another typical mid to late season dash.

FICTION - I'd say, given Tomkins prolific and precision-like capacity for try assists to his outside backs, especially the wingers, he will get more try assists this season than tries, and the main benefactor of this will be Manu.

FICTION - This is the Warriors we're talking about...

4. Johnson and Townsend will be the starting halves round 1 against the Eels

FACT (hopefully) - I would love to see this combo first up, especially with the injuries to Locke and Leuluai, but some oft the recent talk of Townsend to hooker and Tuimavave to half have me worried... Hence, I hope it's a fact.
