Ian Watson has done a brilliant job as coach, Jackson Hastings as a player

I know the bloke who led the club takeover from Koukash, Andrew Rosler, and I remember thinking at the time he must be mad, they’ve stuck by Watson though and got steadily better. Big game for them against Wigan tomorrow

Had a good tall frame and was talk about his talent.
No one thought he would of made a great career of it though.
If you work hard and fight for it,it can pay off.
Be a great story for rising players on how he got there after being told he wasn't good enough.

Had a good long NRL career, did the Kiwi jersey proud more than not.

Yeah done well for himself, got a premiership ring n'all. A bit rocks n diamonds lately so good to go end it in the ESL, should do OK. He was lucky the Warriors never kept him and he go to go to better teams as a junior.

Little support, small crowds, many reject players, based in a non RL town, were supported and held together by a billionaire who has recently departed.

Look at them in comparison to St Helens, Wigan, Leeds & Cas’.

When it comes to Salford the potential for big crowds must be there, it’s a city of 250,000 joined onto Manchester. The problem is they’ve been poor for 45 years.

Bradford has foundered on Odsal, a huge monkey on their back. London is improving. Newcastle are improving

The amateur game is strong in all these places.

We still have an ex Warrior playing as Bodene and his Wolf pack take on Featherstone for the right to play in the Super League.

Featherstone smoked our braveheart James Bell to face Toronto.

ESL has some good players. It's hard to think as a junior Josh Hodgson couldn't get a run at Hull FC, playing only a couple of games. Joins Hull KR and from memory played second division for a season.

Now he is one of the best in the NRL.

It demonstrates there is talent in ESL but sometimes you need to go looking for it.

PS : For romance would love Featherstone to gain ESL status. However, the game needs Toronto.

agree about Thompson - standout for St Helens this season. Only trouble is, I'm sure he's on every NRL club's radar.

well who'd 'a' thought it? 12 nil to Salford at 1/2 time. Salford have a young player in the 1/2s who could do really well in the NLR. Effective everywhere on the pitch, skills at a different level, impeccable off-field behaviour. English heritage as far back as 1066.
