General Elon Musk

Elon Musk is apparently the richest man in the world, the guy who invented Tesla, the man who everything he touches turns to gold.

I never bothered to look closely at the guy, he never interested me.

I had heard his father was a strange guy from South Africa, who adopted a five year old and later got her pregnant.

That Elon made strange offers to female staff for sex.

He has been photographed with Ghislaine Maxwell, say no more.

Then I heard his wealth is smoke and mirrors. he did not invent nor found Tesla. he bought it from the two inventors through share deals.

He is a bit like Donald Trump, used the press to inflate his wealth, and then used that "wealth" to make more money.

Much of his wealth is based on share values in Tesla.

No big deal, that sort is common in Merka, but then the dude offers US$40 billion for Twitter.

Some say it isn't worth a quarter of that, but he goes ahead, using borrowed money against Tesla stock.

then he changes his mind and tries to back out of the deal. Twitter shareholders hold him to it.

He takes over and starts firing staff, and generally acting like a lunatic.

There was actually a bunch of staff there that were not needed.
Backing out of the deal was due to Twitter not being honest with him over bot numbers.
Princess Dianna was photographed with Ghislaine Maxwell I guess she was going to the island too.
Here's a day in the life of a Twitter employee or probably ex employee

Check out project veritas where the some employees say they only worked 4 hours a week for a 6 figure salary.

The guy is a dick, and always has been. Ghislaine Maxwell was in the Sloane Ranger clique way before Epstein was on the scene.

No wonder he's wants to get rid of most of the woke morons. They don't do any work. Had a few meetings and knocked off a few projects. $10 the projects were talking about what everyone else will do and "dreams". They sound like what the new Auckland Mayor was talking about with some of the Councillors or Directors just professional meeting attenders.

I would love a job with a cafe like that though beats my making my lunch every week and meal prepping. It does look like fun but thats the problem it looks like too much fun the games etc should be for lunch time or after work not like it's an adult day care.

Some of the reporting of his changes at Twitter does come off like he's a nutcase. To be honest some of it is hard to defend especially if he is telling developers to turn up at 2pm and explain their code.

It has been good to see a lot of the entitled people losing their shit over him taking over. Some of them were complaining about Twitter going down hill before he had even done anything.

The entitled people that "earned" their blue check mark complaining has been funny. For years they have gone on how special they were now complaining they have to pay or everyone can get it. One explanation I heard from someone who had been verified as he was on a TV show years ago and the production company organised it all for him He said to get verified they need someone to validate things so that pays for that. $8 a month might be a bit over the top but hey it's not my business.

It has been funny watching him troll people the last few weeks.

If every workplace was like that I wouldn't object. Although there is the theory that those places are made to keep people there, working.

Last i heard the moderation has been heavily scaled back on Twitter causing a massive increase of racial slurs. This in turn has made advertisers think twice. I don't know how twitter's going to survive.
Btw if you know anything about cars Tesla's are pretty shit cars. Innovative for sure but that's about it.

I work in IT and we have had discussions about other companies and some of the initiatives they have to keep staff happy. The companies I work for have even discussed implementing some of them. Hasn't really gone far.

It looks like a nice place to go it just looks like the person doing the video has taken a bit too far.

If they can't moderate what they should be like racial slurs then that's an issue. Twitter has had a lot of woke people or people verified who can get a way with a lot more than everyone else and causing others to get banned or de-platformed. A lot of the time incorrectly.

A lot of those people ran off to another platform and soon found out their agenda to harass people and play the victim wouldn't work as that platform would allow their targets to argue back.

To me he talked a lot about making changes and has come in wanting to shake things up quickly. This has led to a lot of bad publicity and some instances where he's looked unstable. If he sat back for a few weeks and gathered information. Then if people ran off saying it's going down hill he could of responded I haven't done anything yet so your imagining things.

I don't own a Tesla. My kids for some reason seem to be obsessed with them to the point I took one out one weekend and pointed out they are pretty common driving around Auckland. That got him to tell his brother when we got home I saw X Tesla's. A weekend or two later I tried it with his brother similar response but he also wanted me to take a photo with one. parked in a main street of a shopping centre. I refused that as it's not our car or the owner might turn up.

Being in IT one thing I like about them is if there is an issue instead of doing a recall and your car being in danger until it goes back to the shop they can potentially send out a change overnight to alleviate the issue until it goes back to the shop. The example at one seminar was overnight sending out an update to adjust the suspension slightly lifting the car to get around an issue. It's a bit weird to think about as most people don't realise their car is talking back to Tesla while they are sleeping.

As I said I don't own a Tesla and don't know much about them. I assume the above is correct I haven't looked how the electronics in them work.

I like him, makes me laugh coz he winds everyone up and they lose their shit. Probably a bit dodgy though the way he is going about getting overpaid at Tesla etc.
Twitter is overly woke and needs a shake up, you cant post anything on there that doesn't align with the left without being attacked, I would consider myself a lefty and I still find it over the top. I am not talking about hate speech and racism but there should be room to debate openly not just cancel others opinions.

The good old Hawthorne Experiment.

1. Ask your employees about improvements they think would make their work life better.

2. Ignore their suggestions.

3. Watch productivity improve regardless as some employees get a buzz out of being listened to.

4. Hope your employees don't comprehend the difference between their suggestions being listened to and their suggestions being acted on.

Musk would probably sack the entire playing staff if he ever owned the Warriors. And then wonder why we never had a team to put up against those Aussie NRL teams.

The narrator does sound like that with the ‘blessed’ ‘yogi’ comments etc but the facilities aren’t that uncommon in some places- particularly IT.
Have a few mates in IT tell me of similar stuff they have, I visited a partner office in Sydney just this week that had the whole free cafe, alcohol drinks and snacks provided, pool table fooseball arcade games etc. Had a nice vibe but noticed most people weren’t really using it outside of the cafe, think most of it was probably a bit of a novelty that wore off pretty soon. With hybrid working now the norm I find I get probably double the work done at home that I do in the office

I own a Tesla and I definitely disagree that they are shit cars. I personally love it and it is the best car I've ever owned. (Awesome to drive, comfortable, plenty of space, and as you say.. innovative. Can't say all those things together about a lot of cars out there).
Having said that, it is still just a car and not the holy grail on wheels. I also am not blindly obsessive over Tesla or anything Elon Musk. He seems like a crazy eccentric that has equal measures of hits and misses.

The problem with Tesla is that, much like everything in life these days, you are either obsessively protective of it or vehemently opposed to it. It is either the greatest or worst thing ever.

I have some I work with. He has either had a Managing Director say this is the plan or may happen and gone nuts planning things around it for it to not eventuate. Or gets the same from customers.

I had one customer say he likes to throw things out there so he gets busy, keeps him occupied.

Trying to characterise the purchase of twitter as anything but a complete debacle is ludicrous.

$44b is a massive / vast over pay and it's obvious he doesn't know what he's doing with the business model.

They were honest. He took them to court to back out and they had the data to prove it. So he was forced into buying a app that doesn't make any money for $44B.

He thought it was a bot farm controlling US elections. It's not. He's now forced to commodify and sell the only value Twitter has; Trust.
That's why bots, scams and spam has gone through the roof. They all paid the $8 for verification. Elon is just taking his cut.
