I'm glad the Eels got the W last week, now they are just counting the days until they disappoint and lose to a team they shouldn't, hopefully that day is today lol

I see us winning by 1-6, or losing by 30+, there is no in-between

I can see two results here... warriors play really well for a win (new coach appointed, had the rest week, team back at home)... or we play terribly and get beaten easily. I don't see us losing by less than 16-18 points. We might keep the scores close, but if we lose, it'll blow out at some point.

Time to earn your money Shaun Johnson! Had a rough go of it the first 12 weeks and apparently had personal/missing home issues.
Warriors have played their first game at home, you've been in NZ for the last two weeks so would have had heaps of whanau time, no excuses now.
Steer the team around the park, get us a few repeat sets and set up 1 or 2 tries from passing and kicking. You don't even have to run if you want, just do the above mentioned and I'll be happy

I am not that worried about the score I just want to see effort. I can't see us getting rid of the inept coaching of our previous coach yet for us to really challenge good sides. I would love Stacey Jones to prove me wrong though.

You don't get flogged by 50 in the NRL or any salary capped sport, if the effort is there.

Pissed this game is at 10PM. Might be a mercy though. It'll take more than effort for us to win this one.

Few bits & pieces ahead of kickoff:

- This year is the 5th in a row where the Warriors face the Eels just once in a season.
- Shaun Johnson has kicked 27 out of his last 30 goal kicks (90%).
- Ed Kosi has won his last 3 NRL games when playing on the Right Wing but is 0W-3L when playing Left Wing.
- 49% of the Warriors tries in 2022 have been on the right edge. The greatest percentage out of all 16 teams.
- Maika Sivo has never failed to score a try when playing against the Warriors. At tonight's venue Sivo has scored 30 tries from his 31 games there.
- If the Warriors win Stacey Jones will be just the 4th Warriors coach to back up their maiden coaching win with another victory in their following game.

i like the 10pm kickoffs, though we never play in them and almost always lose, at least the house is quiet and can watch uninterrupted.

Probably the strongest team Stacey has been able to put out, but the eels are at full strength and if they play to their top level we are stuffed.
