General Donald Trump

And the Democrats were so arrogant that they believed that the chauvinistic American people were ready to be led by a female when it was a miracle that they'd just voted in a leader that wasn't white for two terms. They pushed their luck with Hillary but they'd made a rod for their own back in that Obama would've been such a hard act to follow with a middle aged white male candidate. Hillary was a gamble that didn't pay off and it's incredible that she managed to get more votes than Trump overall considering she was such a tarnished candidate. Cambridge Analytics did a fantastic job for Trump and the rest is history but they've been set back decades in progressive thinking. I won't see another minority or a female as leader in the US in my lifetime, it's back to crusty old white men from here on.

The only way I can see US politics being redeemed is with a viable 3rd party.

Trumpers do you have any mature comeback to why Trump appointee of the IRS leadership ignored the mandatory rules that the IRS must audit all US presidents returns?

Don't reply with gas lights or bullshit, I will ignore them.

Answer the actual sentient point.

Trump picked the boss of the IRS and that boss ignored the mandatory vetting of a Presidents Tax.

Answer this, and answer it maturely with logic.

Wrong.
They need to dispense with the first past the post primary system, that favors extremists.
They also need to deal with an obviously seriously corrupt SCOTUS...yesterday.

Their whole system is corrupted. They are all bought and sold by the corporations. You watch how fast they get out out when Russia beats Ukraine and the weapons supplies dry up. They have already signed huge energy deals in Europe.

It is dangerous being the merkins enemy, but fatal to be their friend.

The Democrips & Rebloodlicans (names from Jesse Ventura's book DemoCRIPS and ReBLOODlicans No More Gangs in Government) won't let there be a 3rd party. Maybe if the progressives broke off and formed a party since the Democrips spend millions trying to oust and prevent them from being elected.

Nevertheless both gangs will block a 3rd candidate from presidential debates. That 1 time in the 90s won't happen ever again.

If Liz Cheney runs as an independent she will split the vote, unless it is a moderate, on which case she wont bother.

You can’t reason with insanity
I like to follow Larry Tribe, and respect his opinions.
At first I though I thought he was coming the raw prawn 🤔 , but in hindsight he is not saying that Trump is criminally insane, because he isn't
What Larry is saying is that it is probably Trump's best defence, in other words he doesn't have one.

I'm away at the moment visiting family. My elderly father pretty much watch darts, snooker or Trump all day.

The Trump stuff isn't him being a fan of him as he thinks he's an idiot and fascinated with how they voted for him, the crazy things he's said and how he hasn't been arrested for anything.

He watch's a lot of coverage I think from one of the American news YT channels, unless there is one on Freeview. They report on some interesting things. About 100-150 pages back I mentioned he was watching the guy that worked with Trump on his book the Art of the Deal and how the guy nailed Trump's behaviour and how things would work out with the 2020 election.

He had one on the other day going over the investigation into January 6. After reporting on the evidence against Trump and his inner circle and they arguments around the election they mentioned that there was a part of their constitution they could of used to contest the election. It involved a vote through the elected senator for each state. The make up of at the time they likely would of won.

It was an interesting discussion. I can't recall all of the ins and outs of what it would of meant but it shows like Trump all of the people around him were light on political experience.

It is way more complicated than that.
