Peyroux signed now, so when's the other's? Would of thought Carmont would of given us a answer by now?

THe club still hasn't made an official announcement on DP. I expect there may be an announcement next week grouping together a number of signings - both players and coaching staff. Thus making it seem a little more substantial.

*RUMOUR* There is a rumour going around that Folau has quit the AFL........wouldn't he be a great addition for the team....if Locke is going....then there would be room as Peyroux can play Wing/centre/FB

Titans off-load two more to NRL rivals

Wayne Heming AAPThu, Nov 01, 2012
A day after releasing captain Scott Prince to join Brisbane, the Coast Titans have let two more players out of contracts to play for rival NRL clubs.
With the dust not settled on Prince's shock move, centre Dominique Peyroux and forward Brenton Lawrence were released from their contracts to take up new three-year deals with the Warriors and Manly respectively.
While neither are big name players - Peyroux played 16 games for the Gold Coast and Lawrence 17 games over two seasons - their departure along with the highly-paid face of the club Prince helps the cash-strapped club's salary cap position in 2013.
Coach John Cartwright said he was happy that both players had secured their futures beyond 2013 with other clubs.
"At this point we are not in a position to offer them a contract after next season, so we are happy to grant them a release," said Cartwright, who put 32-year-old Prince's departure down to his age and the club being unable to gamble on taking up his 2014 option.
The Gold Coast's salary cap has been stretched to the maximum in recent seasons as they recruited a number of expensive players including proven forwards Nate Myles and Luke Douglas and giant centre Jamal Idris.
While Myles took out the club's player of the year after a great 2012 season, Idris failed to live up to his price as the club missed the finals.

Also heard he was on radio sport today? If it's worth a listen can someone post a link please?

Just gave a bit of background about himself. 185cm and 97kg, but 101kg now due to off-season Taro munching. Saying how he's looking forward coming back to his roots (grew up in Mangere) and family. Grew up with Warriors in mind and swayed by their family vibe. Not promised much other than a spot is up for grabs and he's keen. Likes Elliot. Happy to play centre, wing, or 2nd row. Considers defence (mentioned reads specifically) as his forte.

10 mins 35 into this one, and until 4 mins 45 of this.

Nice guy. Will need to learn to say 'uce' instead of bro to fit in with the boys, though. Maybe throw in a few haarrddds for good measure.

No way can Peyroux play fullback.

DP is a monster in defence. Enjoys tackling, and pretty much will hovers around the whole field just to make a tackle. He has potential. Good signing. But the flaw in his game is that he is a shocker in attack. You can say he is a ball hog in attack. If he plays centre he will never give the ball to the winger. And when he does its at the wrong times. If he somehow ends up playing fullback then lets just say he wont help you in attack. He will just be saving tackles. Elliot really needs to work on his attack but other then that he is a good player.

He is a good pickup. Im a bit buggered that we have lost him. I thought he would grow and improve within the club. As i said if he can learn to attack then he will be a good player.

I assume Sammeh is out. Also assuming Konrad is out.

Therefore I would move Lolo to FB and the vacant centre spot is a toss up between Peyroux and Allwood. Personally I'd go Peyroux, as he has more experience and hasn't done badly in the past.

The rest of the side stays exactly the same.

geeze i hope we use peyroux today. would hate to think we are wasting a bench spot on someone who isnt going to be used

he is going to come onto the forward or is it if hurrell/kata/wright arent playing well they get yanked and peyroux goes into their spot

Damn Peyroux. Couple of real bad plays there. First the penalty. Then a bad bad read to come in on defence there. Not good.

Peyroux to St Helens...

https://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/leagu...yroux-bound-for-st-helens-in-england--reports

New Zealand Warriors utility Dominique Peyroux has reportedly signed on to join defending English Super League champions St Helens next season.

The 26-year-old's contract with the Auckland-based franchise is up at the end of their 2015 campaign and the move is likely a bid for more game time after his struggles for a regular first grade spot since joining the Warriors in 2013.

While a broken jaw shortly after joining the club has not helped his cause, Peyroux has played just 20 NRL matches for the Warriors over nearly three seasons, mostly as second row/lock cover off the bench.

The last of the Auckland-born player's four appearances this season was a start in his preferred position of centre in the round 10 win over Paramatta in Sydney on May 16.

However, a crowded group of rising young stars pushing for the two berths in the centres and the emergence of 22-year-old Raymond Faitala-Mariner as the primary second-row/lock cover on the interchange bench has seen Peyroux left out of the first grade side since.

Peyroux's battle for game time at the Warriors continues a frustrating NRL career.

After moving across the Tasman at the age of 15 and signing with the Roosters three years later, he was unable to break into their NRL squad and didn't make his first grade debut until moving to the Titans and getting a crack at the back end of the 2011 season.

Two seasons on the Gold Coast, though, yielded only 16 NRL matches, before his return home to Auckland.

Cool, good on him.

Anyone know how many spots we have available for next season in our 25 now?

Good luck to Peyroux if he is off to St Helens. He's off to one of the better clubs over there.

He seemed like a good guy to have around the club. He could fill a number of positions, added enthusiasm to the side, and did well when called up. He probably wasn't going to get a lot of consistent first grade time here, hopefully he gets more first grade time in the UK.
