General David Bhana

facefacts

This kid has first grade written all over him, I hope the club is looking at him long term... he's a defensive
machine, which is rare in the 20's, with some nice footwork as well....a great prospect.

Both Taylor and Henry fit the bill for that style of play, I'd say we would be looking for more impact forwards for the future. Toka Likiliki has impressed my when I've watched, looks a little heavy but man he is a handful.

Likiliki does look heavy but up close the dude is a brick, I don't know if you could change his body shape too much, plus he has a step and pretty good pace for a monolith.

Regarding Toka, don't let his body size fool you, he is a lot more agile than he looks. He was about the same size when he was playing second-five for our 1st XV. He has some great ball skills for a big fella too - I haven't been watching the Juniors this year, so I'm not sure if it's come through - but he has a great long and short passing game.

He's a beast. Very good player and I expect him to make NRL somewhere, if not with us.

I like how the topic changed to Likiliki haha, But I think both players should be in the long term plans of the club. David Bhana is a good hard worker, and Likiliki is a beast.

Haven't watched many NYC games this year so haven't seen much of him, but yea haven't we got enough defensive back rowers as it is ?

Have to agree with you on Bhana. I was thinking the same thing watching him play on the weekend. I wasn't overly impressed by him on my first viewing but the more i see the more i think he is destined for a long first grade career.

I've yet to see him play, but is he a better prospect than Lousi, Paasi, Ikahihifo, Taukeiahu (sp?) or Palavi? It seems we've got some great depth coming up in the second row, especially considering Taylor and Henry are young also - Mannering still has many a year left in him too. It will be interesting to see who they retain.

I personally think he could be a better prospect then some of those back rowers you mentioned, I think his work ethic may be his best trait. At the start of the season I was very impressed by Palavi, but I think he disappears some games and doesn't get as involved as he should, considering how good he is.

With Mannering, Taylor and (seemingly) Henry locked into the team for the foreseeable future, do we need another work horse? I would have thought it would be priority to find a replacement for Mateo/Brown first and foremost.

Yeah that makes sense, I just hope that if he doesn't get signed by us that he has a good career elsewhere.

He was born in January of 1993 so I think this year is his last.
don't you have to be under 20 at the start of the year to qualify? If that's right then he will still qualify next year.

I think he is a bit more than a workhorse, he has a great step and offload, more importantly, seems to know when to use them....add to that a great attitude and
work ethic, two things that are rarer than you'd think.

The U20's really has been amazing for us. And I love watching it as well, hopefully it is here to stay. Being able to watch our future stars before they hit first grade really builds excitement and attachment to the players I find.

May have a first grade career in front of him but i doubt it'd be at this club.

He's this years version of Taylor and Benry before him (although from what i've seen not as talented). These 2 will provide the Luck like "work ethic" for many years to come. Another of the same ilk is waay overkill imo.

Under Ivans Watch he possibly would have been as the Aussies say 'a chaaance' ....if the conspiracy theorists on Lucks 'injury' /no show are right...Bluey is moving in a new direction : shared work load in the tackle stats , forwards who are attack capable.

What conspiracy theories? Basically that Shitlennen doesn't want to play somebody that was our defensive glue in a team leaking points horribly? I mean I can see the justification, and I don't disagree with that approach entirely. I just hate smoke and mirrors type shit.
