Some feedback please - with 6 contestants do we have enough of a player pool to choose from given I have extended it to all time and taken away the 1980 rule?

Please let me know if we will definitely run out of players as we could also potentially include New Zealand born players who refused to play for us such as Brad Thorn?

Would rather not include dudes that refused to play for us unless you predict things will get in very short supply

Let me know

We will have enough Wrighty.

There are 800 players all time for Kiwi's. There are 250 players from 1980 onwards.

We only need to select 78 players for all 6 teams combined.

Cool thanks for that helpful post Warriors we will keep the likes of Brad Thorn out of it.

Is it ok the change I made to include pre-1980s dudes, will that be helpful or unnecesssary?

Cheers

No worries Wrighty.

Either way would be fine but maybe 1970's onwards might be the sweet spot.

Cool, thanks again

Let's make it an all time draft. So that I don't have to change the eligibility rules three times. Chance to learn about an old school player if someone picks someone from the 1920s

I predict nearly all the picks will be from 1970/1980 onwards anyway so will self regulate to more recent players as that is who we have seen play.

Cheers

Cheers wrighty- u can confirm me although if it’s too much of a hassle at this stage no hard feelings.
I only go back to the early 80s so will be picking from that lot- plenty of options there I reckon.

Your in. I like you go back to the 80s only

Look forward to your picks when it is your turn to draft

Weno is up for the third pick overall I believe.

I have gone into the centers where we have had so many greats play there.
The 80's have a few greats, but the 90's threw them out.

Blessed with speed ,balance and X Factor of this era.

My 1st round pick and third overall in the draft is.

1-
2-
3-
4- Clinton Toopi
5-
6-
7-
8-
9-
10-
11-
12-
13-

Clinton Toopi.

Nice choice! Very dynamic player. Didn't expect it but he would probably have been in my starting 13 as well.

I am going to start with with the halves and possibly our biggest ever x-factor player - Benji Marshall.

3.
4.
5.
6. B Marshall
7.
8.
10.

Over to you Ryno

I am thinking of moderator killing Ryno unless he turns up soon. I asked him to make a post where he confirmed. Instead he "liked" a post in this thread this afternoon but didn't confirm strangely. Perhaps was in a rush.

C'mon Ryno please come online and post soon. Will wait only a bit longer.

Are we free to move people around the team, e.g. I could move Wiki to Center, Prop or Second Row?

Looks like I get a double banger (been a while since I’ve had one of them...)

1 Roger Tuivasa-Sheck
12 sbw

This looks like fun wrighty.
So much to talk about already but I don’t wanna give away my strategy

Thanks for coming online Ryno. Within Reason is the answer. I would be uncomortable with Wiki going to centre unless you can justify it with some rationale such as he played a few games of ISP there, or had good wheels or something.
Moving him around the forward pack I have less issues with.
Would definitely prefer that the spine positions in particular were specialists. Eg I know that SBW is probably so skilled a ball handler that he could be a stand off, and that Tohu Harris played a game at 6 last season against the storm, but will generally rule against such moves.
I want people to pick the likes of Stacey Jones and and Benji Marshall for their spine. IE specialists. Otherwise the teams are too far fetched.

Let me know if you want me to clarify any of that.

Your turn is up again- as the order reverses you are always before and after Defence. So your turn to pick again ryno
And thanks for coming on line just now.

What country are you if a different time Zone? Australia perhaps? what city?

Some players change across their career as well... eg Benji marshal early career is a totally different player to Benji 2015-20.

There are a few players with 1 or 2 peak seasons and the rest of there career was poor.

Interesting how we weigh up lots of different factors.

Wiki started his career as a first grade centre and moved in as he got older and slowed down. Same as Mannering.
