The stub axles found on the Thomas farm were planted by the Police
That is a conspiracy theory dreamed up much later.
There was strong evidence the bullets were planted, a virtual own goal.
There was absolutely no evidence the stub axle was planted, and I know you don't have any.
Apart from that the logistics are crazy.
A now dead detective who lived and worked in Otahuhu, had never met either of the victims, manages to go onto the farm, walk all over it looking for something in it to weigh the bodies down, and then returns at night to murder the couple to frame a guy he had never met, because he was shagging one of the victims?
and...all without being noticed... in Pukekawa the Ozarks of the lower Waikato?
Also, the defence lawyer for the first trial, an eminent QC presented a quite believable theory that the dead guy, who apparently was prone to use his fists, was sitting at the table looking at a pile of bills, got grumpy and belted his wife, who went and got the gun, and from the kitchen drilled him, and then in despair shot herself.
The juries didn't buy that either.
So many believed he presented a sound case, but the Fox news of Auckland decided to rubbish his efforts as well.
I thought you were going to say Bruce is a member of the Ancient council of Druids or you that you are the only person ever to claim the million dollars from the amazing Randy
Never heard of either.
the Police had decided Thomas was the murderer and they needed evidence to support their theory
Actually, and as a train spotter Bruce has read a lot about this case over the past 50 years. Thomas was never a suspect.
The father of the dead woman was strongly suspected of involvement, and even now there are some serious questions about him, and his wife and their actions.
I recall reading an article about 10 years ago revisiting the case, the witnesses, the father ,his wife. It still is a real who dunnit in many regards.
However during months of major investigations Thomas name started cropping up. Nobody knew the fecker. So they had a closer look at him and that is what they found.
That is why the stub axle is so important, it either had to be planted or he did it. The planting theory is as crazy an idea as one could dream up.
I can assure you, from what I have read, they guy who the Police could have framed, and much more easily was the father, so why pick on Thomas?
