it wasn’t Nathan Brown that was going to get us there.
Nope
I hope you are right. However I doubt it - if the hubris is strong enough, and I’m guessing it is, then he won’t have understood how unappealing coaching the Warriors is right now. But I do genuinely hope I’m wrong on this, I want nothing more than us to sign the best coach possible to get us back on the right path. One things for certain - it wasn’t Nathan Brown that was going to get us there.
Guys like him are usually acutely aware of their shortcomings. It is their way of dealing with those shortcomings that causes the problem. Driving a Rolls in Auckland has to be a sign of personal insecurity. That is enough free psychology tonight, the meter will start ticking next time ;) :D

I'd be shocked and disappointed if it was. It would be a disaster for the club.

His time of coaching in NRL as a HC is over I think.
Yeah you can’t bring a snake into the dressing room in NZ, and I’m not sure if the players or Robinson would respond well to him belting up the dressing room with a baseball bat. The Rabbitohs quickly grew tired of his antics and they never seemed to work at the Tigers. He would be my absolute least preferred candidate and I was overjoyed when Robinson ruled him out in the media. It will be interesting to see if a list of interviewees is leaked

Well said. It was embarrassing watching him on Tigertown.

We all complained about brown being a dumb move as he was a wooden spoon specialist at the knights and proved his credentials with us. So I can’t understand some people now wanting Madge? Tigers went backwards every year under him and he had a good amount of time to change the squad etc, they were running 9th when he took over and he took them to the bottom.

Coaching kiwis is way different. Only one week in camp with the best players. They all know what they are doing. The coach is just running some drills and getting them up on game day.

His style maybe conducive for representative coaching but week in and week out, it wears thin. I know myself I'd zone out listening to him.

Yeah Madge had a good crop and Rabbits same can't be said for Tigers.
They have a power imbalance makes the Warriors woes look pale in comparison. Thwor accounting is shot, they dont build anything which is what they should do. They instead prefer to go out and buy players for a quick fix.
Like the Warriors are Losing out on players walking away. And their Best ones, at that.
The Warriors needs some discipline which is the reason for their issues
I thought this was intersting from Madge

He’s a class act and what people need to realise including the muppet’s running the Warriors is that failure at one club doesn’t necessarily mean failure at the next. There are always things outside a coaches control, the best thing that can happen is for the owner to step back and leave it to people who know what they are doing. He’s successful in business but not in the sports business. They should bring Madge in but I don’t even think he wants it.

Madge
Overall win percentage 55%
NRL win percentage 49%

Nathan Brown
Overall win percentage 49%
NRL percentage 27%

From what I’ve heard he isn’t.

He doesn't tell people he is seriously insecure. He doesn't even tell himself, but he is aware of it and builds a wall of bullshit to shield himself from it.

Deep down he knows he is a dick and he is petrified of people finding out..

It also makes him ultra sensitive to things and very cunning, if stupid.

The Kiwis have had some good wins from ordinary coaches e.g. Bob Bailey, Tank Gordon, Bluey McLennan

If Flanno isn't keen, which I would assume he isn't, and no one obvious pops their head out, I would like to see Josh Hannay given a shot. Respected in the NRL circles, has been a solid interim coach with plenty of assistant experience under the belt. Hannay has origin (youth and senior) gigs, which is a good indication of his standing. Is working under Fitzgibbon currently, so would have a decent blueprint of how to implement a new culture/structure.

Certainly would bring alot more hope than brining in a Elliott eske dinosaur (Henry, McGuire, Green, Toovey...).

Robbie beat me to it by 2 minutes!

young and shane are smart guys got more sense than to come here
You look at Hannay he obviously has some credibility, still very young and learning. Like Ciraldo I suspect he will be very selective on his next move.

The same with Dean Young and other budding assistant coaches.

It is why we could end up with a last man standing scenario. As a positive, I think the Tigers are in a worse predicament. I think they'll end up appointing Kimmorley or even John Morris based on his prior experience coaching and playing for Tigers under Sheens.

It scares me Madge could become a strong candidate.
