Packer is clearly going....

He is? I hope you're right but ME the other night said Packer or Matulino or both, might or might not be with us next season. I'm hoping its packer that's going but Mutts was definitely not a surety 3 nights ago in ME's eyes. What annoys me about this is someone's obviously got into Mutts head.

slaughterhouse.sa

We know for sure Taukieaho is leaving us. But is Packer going or is that still speculation/rumor/Chinese whisper at this stage?

Just judging from all the speculation on here.

I can imagine Matulino would upset purely about speculation about Locke.
Not when that has been on the horizon for 6+ months (Tomkins)[DOUBLEPOST=1380358878][/DOUBLEPOST]
Kava side effects:

Causality indicated: scaly skin rash, weight loss, raised Gamma Glutamyl Transpeptidase liver enzyme levels, nausea, loss of appetite or indigestion; Association indicated but causality unclear: red sore eyes, impotence or loss of sexual drive, self-reported poor health, raised cholesterol, and loss of time and money, low motivation and 'slow/lazy' days following use, reduced alcohol consumption and related violence; Association hypothesised: fits or seizures, Melioidosis, Ischaemic Heart Disease, protective effects for cancer; No association indicated: cognitive performance; No association suggested: cognitive impairment, liver toxicity or permanent liver damage, other pneumonia; No association hypothesised: hallucinations.

I'm not saying it's worse than alcohol, or anything else. But it's definitely not a high performance supplement IMO...

Better than 10 beers though.
Im not a scientist or stats expert but some of those words sound like it aint actually related to those concerns lol

I dont care how good it is....just having a go at nigmah for even bringing it up.
when we a talking about attitudes.[DOUBLEPOST=1380358961][/DOUBLEPOST]

Why should it be shut down....because it is spiralling out of control with dribble....some people specialities
Just like those said players behaviour was on twitter.

You are so far away from the whole situation its sad.... there is no pseudo-gang culture.
It players being idiots ...and isnt connected to the ACTUAL ISSUE.

the actual issue...players not having the correct attitude....resisting Coaching iniatives etc.

The Twitter issue is only a reflection of that issue. Not the biggest issue like everybody is making out.

Forget pre-season training and pushing the boys mentals limits.

Send the boys to a summer school - Communication paper at university.
Specialising in Social Media. LMAO.

Remember fellow Keyboard Warriors....it still is about football at the end of the day

Packer is probably going....Locke possibly.

Whilst Matulinos comments would of being directly related to his best mates leaving.
However Matulino can suck it up after dissapointment..and keep on going.

Can the FANS?????

Taukieaho + Packer = leaving. Like I said they would of been released because Staff dont require them.
Whether it be on depth/talent or attitude based. Not a theory..a reality

But there is no point in sending them for social media training when they have already received this training in the U20s system, and it hasn't helped. Or was that part a joke or sarcasm? The LMAO made it a little ambivalent.

None of the discussion has moved away from attitude being the primary problem. In fact every "theory" and piece of mumbo jumbo has attitude as the sole basis of the problem, with specific areas being addressed. You haven't clarified anything here, simply stated the obvious. But pintpointing it as attitude problems is not enough to fix it, otherwise Elliott would have done that before kick-off this year.

You say there is no pseudo-gang culture, but I was simply responding to this allegation from other (what I would consider) reasonably reputable sources, regarding Packers jacket and others apparent involvement with this "The Realists" patch thing.

Warriors Orange Peeler
Wiki is perfect for any team, especially the Warriors. He embodies everything a true professional athlete is and always has. I was very fortunate to live next door to Rubes for awhile. He was just amazing and even though we kids werent to know what lay ahead for him and how successful he would be, we all looked up to him and adored him without exception. He would always come out and play touch with us everyday and was always training. He was as humble then with kids 10 years younger then him as he is now. Hes a true leader and is exactly whats needed at the club.

I dont like the kava thing. How many teams get on the piss after a match in this professional age???

I think Kava and alcohol are equally bad for pro sports...

Kava is maybe worse because there's no hangover so maybe players get on the Kava the night before a game and play like they are half asleep on the pitch while the kavalactones are being sweated out of their bodies...

The symptoms do match perfectly with the symptoms of Warriors disease.....

Youve obviously never really tried it have you???
I've got some in my fridge right now... It's quite nice, but I do have to avoid all foods with vitamin C for at least 6 hours prior otherwise I get a nasty reaction.... Apparently most people don't have to worry about that so go figure...

Once again....Nigmah...reality.
Professional what...Monks.

Once again there is no apparent issue with alcohol.

Who said it is a player power issue?
I see plenty of Power with the coaching staff/mgmt - if they are releasing blokes still under contract.
It is not impossible for young pople, as professional athletes, to restrain from alcohol. Ben Henry does it, pretty sure Jerome does it, I think Elijah Taylor does it or has done it, Manu, Matulino and Mateo were all doing it at the start of the year (not sure if they persisted all season).

Where have I stated an alcohol problem. I have discussed Locke and some of the states he has been seen in, which appears to have lead to this discussion. And I have talked of how Wiki had taken to Kava ceremonies (and as I have said I saw an interview where he talked of his reasoning for Kava over alcohol).

The player power was part of a discussion (not even started by me) that I responded to. The rumoured release of players could very well be an address to a player power issue, which in part is responsible for the attitude issues.

I am well aware you were once connected, but you haven't made any references recently that indicates you have any omre inside knowledge than anyone else around here, so why are you so upset with people theorising?

Perhaps you should just allow others to have this conversation without you, if it offends you so much.

Should I be concerned about the underlined word. It has a bit in it that looks exactly like peptides. Or is this more of my paranoid UFO watching???

You keep it in the fridge hahaha. Are you drinking it alone?

Use to part of a kava club and go on benders every week. In all fairness I did drink to excess but I can tell you there is a definite hangover after a good session...

After watching the game last night I can't for the life of me see Wiki sitting around the Manly changing room with Lyons, the Stewart bros and Whatmough, drinking Kava and shooting shit to enhance or build a culture. Mark Horo's interview was a gem and illustrated what is required at a successful club by the incumbent players. Hard work, not making mistakes and doing what you are fucking told seems to be the recipe that works with them.

IMHO the problem we face now is the number of "younger" players that were elevated directly from the U20 without a decent grounding in NSW cup OR having some hard arse senior players who were going to instil the required culture into them. These guys were heroes (with the Justin Beaver brigade) when looking in the mirror and haven't been able to, or have anyone around to assist them get back to the reality that skill and good looks will only get you so far.

I hope we are having a cleanout. It's not difficult to figure (through the body language, tweets or performance ) that some of the current squad need to get the hell out and take what I consider to be a slack attitude with them.

Oh and BTW, innuendo, heresay and opinion are all fair game (but not binding) on a forum as long as the thread is appropriate. I'm no moderator but the principles of natural justice apply here.

The most dangerous statement made publicly by a Warrior isn't the stupid tweet stuff including the not being happy that Tony Iro missed out Tweets.

It was the " Half backs are not always going to agree with coaches " stuff that Johnson rattled off.

It's not an offensive thing or even disrespectful from Shaun Johnson , it's his honest opinion.

The fact that he feels confident enough to voice that to reporters says to me that he thinks it's ok to put his own ideas first and the game plan secound.

That's not new to our club , our legend is players who add lib and play what is in front of them.

But none of those players felt comfortable telling the media that they aren't always going to agree with their coach.

Why ? because it's about chain of command and following orders , giving the appearance of delivering on a game plan that the coach is part of / has ultimate say in.

Where does it come from ?

- I would hazard a guess that part of it is Johnsons personality make up , part is his experiences in the U20's ( a GF win will shape your thinking )

Something else to consider ....throw in their .........

Remember when Andrew Johns disagreed with Phil Goulds Origin plans ?

Gus shocked the Sydney media by dropping the best player in the world because of a battle of wills between the two.

Andrew Johns is now our very own halfbacks mentor / hero / role model and advisor.

Joey got his own way in the end to some degre when he remade Origin selection in spite of fractious relations with his coach

" Half backs don't always agree with coaches " can you imagine Johns telling Shaun Johnson to back himself , be his own man on the field ?

The difference between Johns and his protege is that Johns was the best player in the world.

The other difference in the Elliot Johnson relationship is that Phil Gould actually dropped Johns until they had an understanding.

Shaun Johnson could be as great as Sam Tomkins , he has the talent , he is short on some core skills and most of them come from the top two inches and learning that the team is the coaches men , and the team is greater than any one individual.....thereby Halfbacks are compelled to agree with their coaches on fifth tackle decisions.

Get them to sit through this before Round 1. Maybe it will help.

I've seen most films in that genre but not that one.

The quality of the cast is what peaked my interest.

My fav scarface quotes:
"Orders? You giving me orders? Amigo, the only thing in this world that gives orders is balls. Balls. You got that?"

"All I’ve got in this world is my balls and my word and I don’t break them for no one. You understand???"
