General Changes to the Head Office

I'm hoping these changes may work. I just hope they see sense on SK. He will seriously detract potential sponsors, supporters and investors.

Stats do not lie and his winning % is dreadful, again you could argue the same with Nathan Brown at Newcastle, however you can see improvement.

Next year I can Newcastle as a top right side.

The difference between Newcastle and the Warriors is Newcastle have bitten the bullet and are taking a long term approach to the future. Fans and sponsors can wear that.

Watson and Doyle have been unrealistic in their aims trying too many short term solutions combined with marketing talk. Mistakes in signings these days can be serious mistakes. They need to really understand why they are making a signing and take the best obvious option, regardless of personal bias.

SK was clearly signed because he was a Kiwi, ahead of better performing coaches. If you want results that is a bad decision. As a gamble it may yet pay off, but it doesn't look good, especially the Foran and Blair signings.

Just on that last part about SK. TBH I hope that is true, so he gives him the boot faster than a David Tua left hook !!!
If they were not worried about Kearney by now they really are incompetent.

It isn't about giving the guy time, it is why was he signed and when are the facts going to be faced? My guess is George has no baggage there, and his arse is on the line now so Kearney will have some explaining to do.

The only thing is to pay for his exit, and find somebody else, who will probably want a full cleanout. That will be expensive. Given Watson's financial predicament that is not going to be an easy fix.

Kearney has always been extremely confident he is here for the long haul, he might have reason to be confident.

Yeah that last part scares me TBH. At first I was all for SK to coach this club, simply because IMO anyone was better than Cappy. Oh my how wrong was I.........:banghead:

In my view, nothing much will change in this club until Watson has either sold out or relinquished control. It all starts and finishes at the top.
I remember reading a business article about Watson over 20 years ago. That was before he was involved with the Warriors. He was a talking point then for the way he employed people on a whim. He seems to be one who disdains deep analysis. He isn't going to change. The club won't change while his is there either. It might just be another one of his failures. He has had a few now.

Sounds like I might get my wish, apparently Cameron George is setting up a new role (football director) and head hunting someone with plenty of rugby league experience, Frank Ponissi would do me.

Ponissi or Peter Parr from North Queensland are probably the two best in the game no idea if we've sounded them out but I think this role has probably already been given to Motu Tony. He was Football Department Manger at Hull Fc and is on his way back home.

Motu is a fine person but I wonder if that would be more to choose somebody who will do as he is told. That would be more like Doyle's method.

I'd hope George would be wise enough to go for someone with a lot more experience than Motu Tony.

Experience should be one of the key requirements for this role.

Had a wonderful 15 minute conversation with an shareholder of the club who successfully won a court case against EW.

The Warriors will be sold very soon! No indication of potential buyers but it will make the club a better place.

The pending sale sounds like it'll be in line with the the members forum that's now been pushed back to November.

Did he say why he believes the sale will make the club a better place?
