General Carlaw Park

There was an article in the SMH this week about the State Premier pulling the plug on ANZ. The NRL are threatening to take the GF to Brisbane or Melbourne.

The State Premier was saying that schools, hospitals and roads were more important, funny that. I honestly think the All Blacks will be asking to play tests at MSS before long. At lest the stands aren't made of plastic.
Actually it was the State labour opposition leader gobbing off

I remember that game and thinking how those guys would go in the NSWRL, Within a year or two many of them were. Mark Elia for the Bulldogs, Sean Hoppe for Canberra and Tony Tatupu for the Warriors. Have I left anybody out?

Jason Lowrie - Roosters and Tigers
Tony Tuimavave - Warriors
Willie Poaching - Warriors
Logan Campbell - Knights

Hmm not a hint of culture to be seen anywhere. Great photos, these guys hard as nails
Genuine tough nuts brother. Tears of nostalgia well up from the memories of the Poms from the old days. If they didn't win they had to go back down into the mines, so they won. Lovely guys once the final whistle blew though.

Is that a testament to the standard of the Fox back then or what? 😍
Definitely, I think a few others may have played reserve grade too, Winfield Cup. . This was when club football’s stronghold was coming to an end too,
How about Dean Lonergan’s side burns .... or lack of.

I remember Graham Lowe writing an article about the change in English rugby league after the northern clubs came down here and got smashed during Super League. I cannot remember the exact words but those old guys would be rolling in their graves. People need to remember just how good they were.
