Wonder what the story is with them not having CCC anymore. Whether they got a better offer from Classic or if CCC ditched them because of the Mad Monday stuff.

A lot more traditional look. The sponsor logo doesn't seem to be as dominating across the design compared to some of the clubs.

Jaycar I heard were wanting out due to the Mad Monday issue. Not sure about CCC but the media were saying sponsors but they aren't afraid to exaggerate and add an s to sponsor to make it seem worse.

Usually you see a cycle of sponsors bidding big to get a few teams on their books then in a couple of years another manufacturer come in and do the same. Few years ago it was blades then blk then Isc and now it seems classic are coming back with a couple of teams

Section from the article.

“The primary discussions have been around helping Trent create that environment where the athletes can perform to their utmost best and putting in performances they can be proud of, the club can be proud of and the fans can be proud of,” Hansen said.

“The club has got a rich history and I know they want to be successful. I know Trent wants to be successful and I know players always want to be successful.

“It will involve being a backboard for him and it may mean suggesting going left instead of right sometimes.

“But the main thing is that he is in charge and my role is to help him and his staff create that environment to be successful.

“I think you can only sustain success if you have the right culture. If your culture is airy fairy, then so are your results going to be.”

A lot of talk this week on the Bulldogs pre season. Had on NRL360 about not having drones like other clubs, Bulldogs then post look at the view from these drones.

Might be a preference from the coach not to over do technology.

I found it funny though as it was a clip on the technology the Bulldogs under Hasler with details getting sent to their tablets which I wanted to show someone. The Google search led me to a thread on this site.

So blame the Bulldogs for me coming on he with my dad jokes.

A very good 2 part article in the SHM around the turmoil of the last 10 years at Canterbury and first hand accounts. It was interesting to see that during the period of Haslers coaching The Warriors had opened up discussions for him to come their coach!

Buzz is a complete muppet. Anyone who follows the game as closely as he does should know that Hasler revolutionised the game with his use of sports science and is one of the games leaders in that regard. Buzz needs to retire. Yesterday...

Shows how bad this side has been going this thread hasn't broken a page.

I used to love watching the Bulldogs in the early to mid 2000's. They have really been in a hole the last few years.

Interested to see how they go with Gould looking over their roster and systems. As much as the joke about Penrith and the 5 year rebuild that took ten years its worth it now.

Rothfield on NRL360 mentioned Gould sticking his nose in with Ciraldo's coaching. I'd say they would need to be going pretty terribly for that this year. That would be more likely next year.

I can also see the Gould / Bulldogs relationship falling apart if he can't get the funds for the things he will want to implement. Pathways systems and Training centres. If the money becomes too much or they don't see results you can see a club known for politics getting a bit testy.

Again that might take a few years.

Well he almost fucked his 5 year plan up himself when he stuck his nose in with Clearys coaching. Had Cleary not come back we probably wouldn't see Panthers succeed like they have. Lets not forget Gus had to leave for it to finally come to fruition. You would hope he has learnt his lesson this time and allow the coach to pick his team. If I remember correctly his relationship with Cleary started going downhill after Cleary told Gus he wanted Apisai Koroisau re-signed and the next week he hears in the media that Gus has released Apisai a year early from his contract...
