Well he's probably going to get the opportunity to do this, can't imagine Kevvies too pleased lol

That's pretty crazy, legit slamming the coach saying 'hes a good bloke but he's not a coach'.

Who was the last player to come out and rubbish their coach in the media? How did it all work out? Sent to ressies etc? I can't wait to see what happens here
Gonna be interesting because Kevvie has the full support of Ben Ikin. Surely theres a public apology and fine/missed games type punishment. An example has to be made especially once the media get a hold of it...

Ikin isn’t scared to do what he thinks best either. They’ve had 4 players ask for a release in the back half of the season and the dramas with the young junior who doesn’t want to go there. Culture not looking good would be a way to part ways with Walters with standards dropping. I think this well and truly puts the spotlight back on Walters coaching skills, or lack of.

“Today’s article on a podcast I did last year has been taken out of context. It was two guys chatting and joking about silly things like the comments about Kev that had been made by Tyson.

“The fact is that Kev is a very good coach, as are all of our coaches at the Broncos. I was lucky enough to play Origin for Queensland last year and that is off the back of the coaching of Kev and his team.

“Kev has taught me a lot since coming into the NRL squad and provided me with great support as I adjusted to the professionalism of NRL.

“I was late to training a few times and instead of cutting me, he educated me and supported me.

“When I felt burnt out late in the year, Kev rested me and when he thought I was ready he gave me more responsibilities.

“I have already contacted Kev to apologise and I’d like to extend that to his family and the whole Broncos club for this unwarranted attention over some silly comments from me.”

Thing is they get heaps of media training. Fuck loads. It boggles the mind that he would still say that...

Gotta wonder what they teach them at media training.

But then again some of this is just common sense.

I remember watching a podcast with Brendon Smith where he literally laid out what the Roosters did to recruit him, and basically said he signed with them, all while still playing for and contracted with the Storm. I think he issued a formal apology after…

I guess he felt in a safe zone, like talking to mates but still, the mind boggles at the stupidity of it all.

Broncos also have the hardest draw... $1.95 to miss the 8. Thank me at the seasons end or 3 quarters the way through when it is mathematically impossible. Gamble responsibly.... unless you know it's a sure thing!! ;)

Not pleased really cause he is actually my favourite player at the moment. So talented and a joy to watch. He did look like he was feeling himself too much during that podcast. Might just need to humble himself and stay away from any media till he grows up...
yeah, same, I love watching him play - best to shut up sometimes

I’ve been in Aussie for a few weeks over Xmas and a few Broncos mates / fans are excited about Reece Welsh returning home . They said that as a Warriors fan I must be gutted ? I got a strange & surprised reaction when I said, “ no”.

Like me, you’ll know the reasons why .
