Doesn't sound 100% right, seems like the Popo are not telling the whole truth here. The Police chased someone, but then stopped because it got dangerous and parked on the side of the road, why would they pull over and park up, surely you try follow at a reasonable speed? Then someone from the public just happens to see the accident but doesn't stop and call the Police, they just keep driving and then find the stopped Police car just down the road who they inform. Doesnt add up for me.

Definitely sounds like somebody wanting to cover their tracks. I think she is involved in a dodgy world having recently being released from jail for attacking a security guard.

People that flee know the police can’t pursue past a certain points. Police will use other resources such as air and cctv to track the car and provided the car isn’t stolen it’s safer to go to the owners residence later.
Pulling over to do paperwork isn’t outside of the realm of possibility.

In Queensland they have a no pursuit policy unless someone's life is in danger or they are chasing a murderer. If it is a minor traffic offence they will not pursuit. Also they were flagged down which doesn't mean they have pulled over.

Your being a bit facetious there I never said paperwork was the reason to abandon the chase only I don’t find it as unlikely as you that AFTER abandoning a chase it’s not outside of the realm of possibility that an incident report would be done soon after

That is very different to they abandoned a chase due to policy/safety/etc then possibly pulled over to do paperwork.

I'm not sure what the policies and procedures of any police force are in regards to abandoning chases but having to stop and report in what happened straight away isn't that outrageous an idea. It might be to make a clear distinction in a moment like this that the chase was abandoned and confirmed abandoned so an accident wasn't directly caused by an active chase.
