Maybe if we went to the reff filled out a green card
For a near miss trip hazard .
Or put cones around the shoe in question an called the HS
Officer in charge so they can do an investigation before said footwear is removed from the feild an our players can safely get back to work

Serious breach of Protocol .I would have blown the whistle on that to .

Which could happen in any gang tackle. The Maloney and Ferguson clips look like people have tried to make a tackle and the boot has slipped off. Ben Hunt put it in the spotlight as a ploy.

Ridiculous penalty, only went like 5 metres anyway. Voluntary tackles get to me a bit. Should penalize those.

Not so amusing if you're the player in the middle of other players with only a sock between you and someone's sprigs. Is the shoeless player meant to carry on (like he did) if play doesn't stop or till it stops? He can't stop playing and go look for it or his position isn't covered.
Ever had your foot stepped on by a 80 - 110kg sprigged boot? So who is responsible if someone stands on an unbooted foot in that situation?
Guess that's why they brought in a penalty for it.
It is kind of amusing but maybe not at this level.
