I didn't think Falau went that great against the Knights.

I thought Pettybourne wanted to wait and see how things went with SOO before committing to the Kiwis?

Yeah, that was what he said in the last interview I read.

What's his connection to NZ anyway, thought he was Aussie born and bred.

Taufua played for Samoa last year it says in his bio on the Knights site.

With a lack of props named, Evarn might have got a look in too.

Cool, he's a good player. There's a few backrowers ahead of him but I expect to see him in the near furture.

It's dissappointing when Kiwi born players throw the 'wait and see if SOO selectors come calling' line in an interview when comtemplating international eligability . Te'o did it again this week, he's the worst for it, the tool. At least Khunt had been in Oz since a young age, Te'o didn't go over until after school (did '8th form' at Keebra I think) and now he's trying to promote himself to Mel Meninga in the media, the asswipe.

Only two players in Rapira and FPN who are out and out props this year with Blair now playing second row and looking better for it. At best it'll be a one prop, two second row bench. Could be a hint that Kearneys playing away from the usual physical game plan.

Who marks up on Inglis is my biggest concern. Matai has struggled with him in the past and would be better against Lyon IMO. We don't have a centre that can outplay Lyon but we do have one that can scare the *** out of him and knows him well. I'm guessing the Inglis factor might be why SKD has overlooked, it could be a horses for courses thing. Mannering has had the most luck containing Inglis in the past and Soliola hasn't looked bad in that role but can Sau handle it? I don't know that Glenn can physically do the job if the plan is to play him there.

Matai's still injured, though, right? Saw his run-in at training with Glenn Stewart when he got hit while wearing a non-contact jersey.

Alex glenn or locke in front of heremaia for sure i like matulino but hes a bit behind on attack a year or too to get better the way lewis brown has been playing i would of had him in the team and what ive been seeing of ben te'o has been awesome his defence and attack since moving to the centres has been good normally a backrower would of been good to see him in a black jersey GO THE KIWIS!!!!!!!!!

Ta'ia made the squad? He's barely cracked first grade and they have named him the squad. Browns been in good form for over a year now misses out. Perhapes Mark Geyer is right and we wont get within 30 of the aussies.

I'm obviously not calling him a veteran, but 65-ish games is a lot more than "barely cracked first grade". This is his fifth season in the top flight! Not sure what his form has been compared to Brown's, though.

EDIT: Oh...unless you're talking about Ukuma Ta'ai? We're talking about Zeb Taia! ;)

Brown's form apart from 2 games this year has not been great. Hasn't helped that he has been in a team that has taken a bit of a beating.

Did anybody watch the Vulcans game? How did Sika Manu perform?
