There are couple of posts in the last page dissing Latrell for being grubby. Please go easy on him. Last night was very meaningful for him from a spirituality stand point and connection to his roots perspective

He looked deeply moved and not all that in control of his emotions and had to wipe tears from his eyes as he lead the indigenious haka,

Sometimes in my past have ended up on a sporting team with everyone my own background and it was a very empowering and communal experience.

He was feeling a range of emotions and wanted his team to win.

Kia Kaha Latrell I am pleased with you.

Kia Kaha to both teams

I have long wanted there to be an indigenous haka and want the wallaby union team to perform it. Guys like Kurtley Beale would go off.

If it was a once off then people would be more willing to let it slide. Unfortunately Latrell has a history of grubbing it up, especially when his side is losing and last night in the last 5-10 minutes he did it multiple times. Made even worse when he gets up grinning like it's funny.

There were a lot of players who were very passionate about that game who didn't resort to those tactics. Don't see any reason why the occasion should get him a few pass.

Wow, how good is Brandon Smith, he has been my favourite player for a while but man, how much would you love him in your NRL team, no wonder Grant wants to leave Melbourne - he is a long way behind both Smiths.

Is grant the kid everyone is saying is C Smiths heir apparent. I keep hearing that but where does that leave wombat. He will be replacing Cam smith wont he. This kid still a while off?

Anyone else think when the players go out onto the field that they should warm up before they go do the haka. Cause after that you want them to get on with it don't you?

Good win bros, even thought K Bro forgot to bring his hands last night to the game.

Harry Grant i think his name is, the one that was going to do the player swap to the tigers but didn't happen - can't see him being even close to Brandon Smith - once Cameron Smith is retired would have thought it would be wombat - Melbourne must have something for him otherwise he would surely have gone to another club where he would be automatic first choice - i'm sure he has a fair amount of interest in him. :)

hes far more effective at prop. Simple roll. I’d say the pack will be:

Blair
Nikorima
Ah Mau
Harris
Curran
Papalii

Egan
Paasi
Tanoa-Brown
Katoa
Taunoa Brown was a pass last night.
Has to be signed.
Rough around the edges,he dont stop trying.
Has a good attitude.
Can become something real good.
The step up hasn't phased him.
But the gulf and physicality between topside and Qld Cup should be a reality check for him in a way that it wont be as easy as it was in the big time.

Curran got the try through a good support run. The try he let in with Smith running from dummy half was a worry. A bit of lack of concentration, taking a breather and got caught. A game with unlimited interchange you would think he wouldn't of been on long enough to get that fatigued.

Taunoa Brown looks like he has promise.

It was good to see some league again. The event is good as the sides moved the ball instead of just playing their sets.

What a joke, there is never excuse to behave like a flog. He has done it his whole career so how does that justify this game?!

loved the passion shown by the maori team. they showed real passion out there.
my only downside was that i felt the reffing after half time, suddenly seemed a bit more like watching some one ref a warriors game, looking for reasons to deny, rather than what is in front of them.

There was a weird comment last night about how he could play in the halve “if any clubs are looking”. Find the whole situation of him playing second fiddle a bit odd, he’s a starter at any other club so why does he wait for cam Smith who is still coy about his future? A year or so to learn fine but how many years has it been now?

100% spot on. One of his first tackles in the game he tackled the guy, then proceeded to pick him up and drop down on him, akin to the old big time wresting move, the Atomic Drop. It was only good luck he didn't collect Dylan Walker in the back of the head when he scored. Early days I know but based on that performance he's not a FB

Why aren’t the Warriors in consideration for the All Stars game? Harris and Nikorima are two players who should be selected. Maybe something to do with the bubble?
