The first line holds as much weight as your argument about if he was Australian. They are both complete BS.

Why is it we didn't go for an Origin or Aus rep player then?
He was a rep player, we wanted to sign him.

I'm trying to explain to you that Blair being a 'rep' player shouldn't in any way justify his salary. You clearly can't comprehend this point.

He's not on $800k a year.
it's $1.95mil over 3 years or $650k a season.

Have been reliably told that it is 2.4m over 3 seasons. There are some reports at the time that corroborate with that too.

STEVE Kearney has got his man with the Warriors securing Kiwi Test enforcer Adam Blair in a $2.4 million recruitment coup that has ripped the heart out of Brisbane’s front row.

And that is 2.4M AUD.

You would note that all recent reports state 2.4m over 3 years (including the recent article about the Blair signing being the dumbest in warriors history).

Mr Brownstone

That only applies if we had better options. If he's the best we could get at the time, then we needed him
But surely not if we have to pay double what he's worth - and I think that's pretty close to the scenario we have with Blair. And to take that one step further, and I'm repeating an earlier point, where is the consistency between that and what played out with Shaun Johnson?

The interesting thing will be at the end of this season for Blair. He will have one year left on his contract, which is when Shaun Johnson was told he could look around. What will Blair be told?

It may well be 2.4mil. But logic dictates it's not. All the articles I can find are dated early September stating 4 years at 2.6mil ($650k a season) then the article from 29th of Sept states 3years at 650k each season, same seasonal pay just a shorter length.
Including this recent article from Fox sports.

They may have paid him more for a shorter time. But the information would say otherwise.

Blair is playing as well this year as he did in 2018 - the only difference is that the Warriors are losing and therefore the reactive majority on this forum are now complaining. Given he's also playing similarly to what he's served up for almost a decade, I doubt the brains trust that unfortunately run this club are going to see anything wrong with him and he'll happily plod along and milk another benefit year.

The old wait till he's on rep duty and put him on blast in the media trick u reckon?
Problem is Blair won't have any takers.
He's here for another couple of years but at least get him off that farkin edge Kearney. These days he's a middle at best.

That is why I want him in ISP. He needs to be gotten rid of asap. the sooner he goes the sooner a replacement can be found. It might sound a bit dramatic but I would like to hear a better option, honest.

Even if he was to leave, the Warriors would still be paying most of his salary you would imagine, which would mean sticking him in ISP would reduce his value and therefore any monetary benefit you would get.

Maybe he can pull an Inglis like retirement and we set him up with a coaching/community job at the end of the season

Poor management decision. That is the consistency.

The difference is Blair won't have any clubs looking for him in the NRL. The Warriors are stuck with him unless they move him on. The problem is he is taking up space while he is here, and the club doesn't need that burden.

People put up with his poor stats last year because of the so called 1% ers that seemed to be going with his obvious intensity. This year the team has lacked intensity, especially Blair. So it either means he was terrible value last year as well, or that his intensity and energy levels have dropped which are drawing more attention to his stats e.g. 13 running metres.

Which is it?

BTW, just WTF is a 1% er? Maybe I was just a dumbass for believing that shit.

If he was dropped to ISP his agent would be on the phones to ESL immediately, end of story. If this club was dumb enough to buy him somebody over there will be as well.
