Titans due to roster and stuck on repeat
Dolphins due to lack of cohesion
Dragons due to player revolt
Knights due to ponga injury and coaching

Tigers, dogs and us will be improvers but we all have the same Achilles …… Depth
Few injuries and we slide

Who has the better group of youngsters and tier 2

But yeah the dolphins or titans for wooden spoon across the backside

Wooden spoon last year was 5 wins, i think with the extra byes i think the bottom of the table should be quite close.

Maybe 7 wins is bottom this year but i think we're good for 8 wins at least this year with a full season at home.

We should be safe 🤞

Warriors.

We are due?

I think we are at a very low ebb talent wise and have the most vulnerable forward line up in the NRL.

Game is won in the forwards.

Hopefully we can do better than our footprint.

Lose Addin Fonua-Blake the seasons gone.

Lose Tohu Harris the seasons gone.

So on and so forth...lose a key guy and the Warriors are struggling due to a lack of props.

We are likely to lose several...so....

And turning our attention to the backs....nah....can't do it.....

I think the Titans roster is decent, it’s the coaching that’s the problem - Holbrook along with O’Brien shouldn’t be anywhere near coaching first grade.
Apparently the big thing to come out of the titans end of year review was that they spent a lot less time on strength and conditioning than the other clubs.
That’s been their focus this off season so I expect (hope because they’re my second team) to see a more explosive side this year.
I think Holbrooks a good coach but that’s on him and maybe a hangover from his super league coaching days.
I agree that have a decent roster- there’s a good team in there somewhere.

If wooden spoon is 7 wins, then the competition is close.

I think the Warriors have a good chance of finally winning something the season. The Spoon. But even if the Warriors were last by 4 competition points with 2 rounds to go they would still find a way to stuff up winning the spoon. Thye are going into the season with some good signings, but got rid of so many players with no way of replacing them except upgrading no names to the top 30 to make up numbers. The management is totally micky mouse. 2023 is going to be another season that will make Warriors fans want to walk in front of a bus. A few injuries and they are screwed. Upgrading no names to the top 30 means the Warriors have no depth and little room if injuries happen which they will

You guys have little faith to pick the Warriors to win the wooden spoon, they've never won it before and they won't this year.

My picks are the Knights, Tigers, Bulldogs, TItans.

We just need to get on a roll and once that happens goodbye to having a chance for the spoon.

Stop being negative guys, be positive.

Hmmm ... third favourite for the spoon. The unknown rookie coach affect I think.. I reckon could be one of Drags, Tits or knights, mind you surprises pop up now and then. If Webby delivers then it wont be us.

Yea thats true.

I'm thinking with the late CBA player movement wont happen till mid year and teams will be abit more even add in theres no major rule changes plus the dolphins being an unknown quantity to an extent will either lift the lower teams up or level out the bottom 9. I think the dolphins win the spoon but if they're good I think bottom 5 will be tight.

Their inability to use Fifita effectively last season was criminal - plenty will blame Fifita however all I saw was him waving his arms in the air for the ball & then either going the other side or using him as a decoy. That’s on Holbrook I reckon however to be fair, their halves combos were rubbish last year and Campbell is a lightweight ball hog at fullback - not surprised he’s at this stage going to be coming off the bench in 2023.

I’d be surprised if we win it as well - however I also think the 4 teams you’ve nominated for the spoon have better squads than us.

Wise words my friend

Better than keep the faith

Keeping it real. I reckon we’ll go all right at the start. But as the season wears on, injuries and Webby’s honeymoon wears off we start to fall….

I think injuries to experienced halves will have a big impact on this season's spoon.
Moylan and Townsend helped propel their teams forward. But will they play a lot of games this season?
Add Reynolds, Foran, Hunt, Walker, DCE and our own Shaun Johnson to the 30 plus age list. Some of them will get injured and their teams will struggle. Even though they're younger Fogarty and Hastings ability to contribute will also have a big say in their respective teams performance.

I think we would cope better than most teams if Shaun Johnson went down. Our Achilles heel is the fitness of Addin Fonua-Blake.

We have definitely improved and I like the direction that Webster is taking us however there are so many ifs with our team. Others have mentioned it but we have weaknesses and are a few injuries away from disaster.
I also think almost every team has improved at our rate or greater and can’t see any of the top 8 from last year falling out.
I think with recent dragons injuries we are both neck and neck for the spoon.
Our one hope is that our Defence improves dramatically. If we do we will avoid the soon but only just.
