So who do we think will play first trial?
I assume it'll be
1. Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad
2. Kosi
3.Montoya Pompey
4. Vailea
5.Dallin Watene-Zelezniak (forgot he out for All stars) Montoya
6. Te Maire Martin
7. Shaun Johnson
8. Addin Fonua-Blake
9. Egan
10. Tohu Harris
11 Barnett
12 Niukore
13 Curran
14Walker Metcalf
15 Ale
16 Lussick
17 Sironen.
While I know we probably want to give a few other guys a try to see how they go I think this will be a big test for Webster to see how this team performs with Te Maire Martin and Shaun Johnson partnering in the halves with Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad at the back to see what the ideal spine is for the season. Tohu Harris can do a job at prop but likely to be playing more of a lock style with Niukore and Barnett switching between edges and middle share the workload.
Also feel like this team has good balance in experience/younger guys. No big threats but I think people could be underestimating how big Te Maire Martin could be for us too and Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad showed in 2019 he can definitely be a first grade fullback.
Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad overall wins in NRL games played is 58%, Te Maire Martin is lower at 43% but in his last year with Broncos was 61%, Niukore also a 60% win stat in games over his career. These guys are big effort players who want to be here too and I think while we haven't recruited any big names we're recruited solid hard workers with a bit more fight in them. Can't wait to see how we go on Thursday!
