One thing I do not get is why the V is so deep, to the point that it isn't even a V, and is instead just two stripes.

I get that the sponsors are a lot bigger these days, but still, the chevron is quite a bit different than the jersey it is meant to be replicating.



Annoyingly enough, last years heritage did it a whole lot better; the chevron actually comes to a point at the bottom (or rather, it clearly would have if the sponsor wasn't there)


I guess we can't have it all but besides, I would trade the V looking off for matching shorts any day of the week lol

You said it. Sponsors. They wouldn't fit nicely on modern jerseys without being smaller and distorted. I don't think any sponsor would pay a million dollars a year to be outdone by something like a chevron...
