Caketin does suck spectacle wise but Wellington is such an awesome town. I probably wont make the special flight but I'll try my hardest to get down there. Have never had a bad time in the Capital. Going to be fun...

The first few times I went down to Wellington it was quite nice. Got shown around to some nice bars and restaurants. It was nice enough to think about moving down there.

Then I went down for an event in March one year and my sister rang and asked "What are you planning on wearing?". Me "Same as I am now shorts, t-shirts and jandals". She pointed out it was pretty cold. I went down with jeans and a jersey but ended up buying thermals.

That was for a WWE event around 2006 I think. I remember one of the woman valets being out in the ring wearing basically a bikini. Usually she'd be showing off her body. That night she was shivering her ass off and close to breaking character.

Then I went down for work a few times when the weather was the opposite of Auckland and that turned me off moving.

Like Hulk Hogan said "If the dirty air don't get you, the politicians will."

Wellington has been hit hard by covid. It used to have a great restaurant scene but it has really slipped.
McDonalds the morning after will do just fine. I'm definitely not going there to eat. Already a crew of about 25 going down. We'll be meeting with about the same number of locals. If I wake up remembering the night before I'll be pretty fucked off...

If you know anyone in Sydney involved with junior league they tend to get almost unlimited free tickets. If u don’t care where u sit you can usually pick up tickets pretty cheap for the larger stadiums as they never sell out for these sorts of games, if it’s at Accor train fare is included in ticket so may even be a case of paying slightly more for a ‘train fare’ and getting the ticket for almost nothing

I use to coach the under 8s a few years back in Brisbane but don't any more and have family coming over for a holiday so I'm going to try and grab some tickets to the Bulldogs v warriors at Accor

They used to fly throughout NZ destinations too, not sure if they still do, but they were cheap flights at the time, and every time I took one to head home to Dunedin for Xmas when I lived up North they were very late at telling people that they weren't going to fly to Dunedin that day because of lack of people wanting to fly to there.

Very pissed off, so the last time that happened I refused to fly Jet Star. But I do know that happened a lot throughout the rest of the country.

It was either canceling flights at the last minute or way over time of boarding.

They still fly domestically in NZ, used em a couple of times but either late or cancelled with no replacement so had to stop. Usually cheaper but not enough to make up for the service.

Do we get any member discount on the Wellington tickets like we do at Mt Smart?
Or has anyone found any other discount codes?

As I mentioned earlier, I'm going to the Bulldogs game round 6 in sydney,
I just hope I don't end up in the Bulldogs supporter's area.
You can get ‘away supporters’ tickets- but they’re usually pretty shit seats. Check out ‘Warrior Nation’ on Facebook theyre a Sydney based supporters group that attend away games
