I agree with the other comments about the home games in general, but one good thing I am happy about is 5 home afternoon games.

And also the teams we only play once: Storm, Panthers, Broncos, Rabbitohs, Eels, Tigers, Titans, Sea Eagles. Which I think is probably a good result with Storm, Panthers, Rabbitohs and Eels only once.

So from our first 10 games of the year 7 are against 2022 top 8 teams (mostly top 4) great!!! Ffs I’m not sure if we will ever be allowed to win this comp.

13 games in NZ. First game not even at mnt smart. The NRL organization fucking shit. Really show what they think of our sacrifice.

Not even 13, its 12- us taking a home game to Magic Round was just balanced out by the Tigers bringing one to Hamilton

Complete bullshit, but not at all surprised.

They have back loaded a lot of our home games to the end of the year rather than just spread them out evenly, I guess as an excuse for more Sydney clubs not taking games to NZ during the FIFA World Cup..

Can't blame the NRL for Wellington hosting the opener though, thats on Warriors admin.

Phoenix vs Newcastle Jets Saturday 4 March

I suppose they are banking on a large amount of Novocastrians, Aucklanders and Wellingtonians to do the double header

Think rd1 is actually a smart move, Warriors amnesia at its peak, weather at its best in Wellington. Napier game will do well for the novelty and mt smart will pack out whenever their first game is

What the hell are they thinking taking there opening game to Wellington?

I understand the desire to play around the country but they should be trying to rebuild/reward akl based members. Opening home game should have been at Mt Smart, take a different match to Welly.

I'm South Island based so don't benefit from games being in Akl. Just don't get why we are adding additional travel/time away from home when the boys finally get ro play at home. One home game in Wellington would have been OK, but don't know why we are heading to Hawkes Bay

Unless we can bring back Walsh for one a last hurrah as a Warrior I'd bet on the Broncos as he was always good for a shocked face and a bad captains challenge. He had the kicks off out on the full sorted as well.

Mind you Kevie probably did his homework and revoked his kick off duties.
