I recall the Roosters came to Rotorua in 2010 for a preseason game. He was injured and didn’t play but was up at the local league field doing the visiting team duties and was super polite and happy to be there. Hoping he is keen to pull out a big one. He will have a lot of support.

You possibly swap Harper to the wing and Pompey to centre just in case defence is a problem. Forward pack looks legit, hopefully Docker-Clay being an older player has a crisp pass from dummy half. Sheldon Pitama is a hooker option as well.

As the leader (and potentially the sole member) of the Jesse Arthars fan club, I would put him in at centre for Nikora, and move Hunt to the bench- but with that Indigenous backline, I can understand putting Nikora out there.


Walker has be ruled out too now apparently 🙃 I still think it will be a good match, even with all the omissions, but I am glad I cancelled my trip to Rotorua for the weekend.

I do wonder what the match payment is like for the ASG and how it compares to a Kiwis or Origin match payment..
