Crazy.. I was genuinely logging on so I can ask if anyone had any info on when the All Star game was lol, Not the date I was hoping for though

They will get a really good crowd regardless, but if they wanted to make an event out of it why not have it two weeks earlier to line up with Auckland Anniversary Weekend or better yet, one week earlier for Waitangi Weekend.

Like you said, it is Zero Tackle so grain of salt/I can keep my fingers crossed that it will be on one of the long weekends.

Does anyone know if they still do votes for the All Star game? It is less than a month out and there hasn't been anything so I guess there isn't, which is a bit of a shame.

Assuming no one makes themselves ineligible/everyone is healthy, and that I haven't forgot about someone, this would probably be the best 13 for each team..

That Indigenous backline is probably a bit better than the Maori, but their forward pack can't even compare to ours.

Josh Kerr is another option instead of Jamayne Tounua-Brown. Tyrone Peachey or Bud Sullivan might get a run at Hooker if they prefer to play Cotter as a running forward

Dylan Brown is Samoan. I can see Dylan Walker playing and perhaps a few Origin players. The Maori team is pretty much the spine of the Kiwis. Always look forward to this game and in Rotorua it will be a cracker. If origin rules change as it looks like I could see Dylan Walker and Kalyn Ponga lining up for the Kiwis.

It is too bad that we will probably never see the full potential of the game, being a preseason match and all, because, with the exception of the bench depth and Indigenous forwards, those are just about Origin quality sides, but pride more than makes up for that.

Figured he may be ineligible, Luai is also a top 3 Five Eighth though so no complaints from me lol

Dane Gagai is another one that can represent both, but I wouldn't want him over anyone that is already in there.

What a lot of people seldom talk about is the fact that this game goes along way in building a cohesive Kiwi test team. It is also a good test case for bringing origin players into the mix. Can defintely see David Kidwell making his way back as an assistant coach for the Kiwis now that he has more experience.

Val would represent for Maori only(If you're assuming he is half Aboriginal? He isn't bro)- Cookie) Dane has said he won't play All Stars again. Pulls at the heart strings having to play against either of his cultures.
Royce Hunt , Reimis Smith(If fit & over his injury) Matt Timoko has a bright future in the game. Bailey Simonsson, Sebastian Kris also.
