No weirder than that previously where one judge gave a 3-2-1
In the Fins game assuming one of the two judges was making the call Kaufusi would have only got 2 points
If you had said those judging had NFI I would have agreed with you

Could have also happened under the old system if the judge for MOM wasn’t also the judge for Dally M

Another good week for our Tohu Harris! Can see with his consistent high level work rate he will be having a great Dally M year. We should nick name him ‘the machine’ as he consistently pumps out unbelievable meters and tackles stats..

I do prefer the new voting system thus far but it is strange to things like this where that one voter had Jackson Ford as the player of the match, while the other didn't even have him in his top 3.

Webby described Ford as a workhorse that going to perform all day but not be a standout. More the Mannering/ Luck mold.
Depends what the judges value - showponies or solid players that perform the hard work.

I’ve always felt the Daly M favoured weaker teams with 1 standout player, who could be the best in the team consistently without other players in his own team challenging them and reducing their points. Teams was several great players cannibalise over the points and individually score less.
The Daly M system rewards the player that stands out within their own team most and not necessarily the best player in the comp.
Sort of how RTS got the Daly M one year in a crap Warriors squad, when Tedesco was arguably the best fullback on the planet but in a team full of superstars.
I think with the 2 judges it could allow a greater spread of points and allows the stars to accumulate more points in the better teams, which is fairer.
