They should have spent more capital at centre and FB. They also should have kept Hastings over Brooks (but rumour has it he has a feud with Bateman.)
I just wouldn't have bothered with Bateman, he ruins Joe O and loses you Hastings,

The club is very confident that Moses will be putting pen to paper at this Thursdays meeting.
A 4 year deal worth close to $1.4mill per season (can't confirm but a 5 year may be a mutual option).
All "requirements" per his managements discussions have been met & our offer is better than the Eels.
Since Farnworth has informed other clubs of his intent to stay at Broncos the club has changed focus to Dominic Young, very early talk just gauging his price point.
Daine Laurie is looking likely to take up the current 1 year extension being offered, he wants 2 years or more but club not budging on this.
Talk of Seyfarth looking to move on is true, club happy to keep him for 2023 season but won't stand in his way of long term offer if it comes forward.
Laurie will be fullback round 1, Staines too quiet for Sheens liking & "needs to find his voice" to be any chance of taking the 1 off Laurie, Bula is nipping at their heels but a roster spot would need to be freed for him to play prior to round 10.
Club has also held talk with Fletcher Baker from the Roosters
Was the post I saw on the tigers forum from a respected poster on there, I’ll believe it when I see it though. Apparently Moses wants to play with Brooks again and that’s why tigers wouldn’t let Brooks go to knights. If they kept Hastings apparently it wouldn’t have happened and Moses people asked tigers to beef up their pack, which they’ve done. As I say, take it with a grain of salt at the moment but if it happens it could help the Warriors get a prop?

Watching the bulldogs at present, nothing is impossible. Brooks last year of contract this year on big money, maybe renegotiates for less? Probably more than happy to take the spotlight off himself. Fairly reasonable spine with Koriasau not on elite money but one of the best, Laurie or Staines fullback on not ridiculous money. Will be interesting to see anyway.

Perhaps, or perhaps play him centre and halves depth until next contract? Probably happy to let him walk if he can’t get onboard. Sheens seems fairly tough.
I reckon him & Christian Ma'anamia would be good targets, Christian is a Wellington born, Prop 192cm 101kg and we've seen what Wellington products have produced in the past, e.g Kearney, Mannering, Matulino, Whatuira, Luke and the list goes on

Star was offered a contract with us as far back as 2016 and again in 2017 and 2018. He didn't want a bar of us then and probably still doesn't now...

Unfortunately Tigers know a good thing and have locked him up on a multi year deal before November 1 struck.

Only played 21 games in the backline for the Tigpies last year with 14 of them at centre. Missed 4 whole games so you're right, cant lock down a backline spot

Honestly I don’t think he’s that good.
Very average at Newcastle and hasn’t kicked on at Wests so far. Doesn’t really have a skill or attribute that stands out to me.

Just need 1 reasonable prop to cover/partner Addin Fonua-Blake. And someone else to make the 28.
However judging by Webbys earlier comments he wants a mobile forward pack. Makes sense, the rules are always changing to speed up the game.
Theres also mention of unlocking any hidden attacking/defensive talents they have and devising game plans to suit.
So keeping that in mind I'm sure Webbys sorting out the gems from the cattle hes got. Then I believe hell identify and recruit the type of player he wants and meet the cap deadlines during the year..
