I read this post yesterday and its been eating away at me ever since...
Look being a non aucklander I can understand peoples reluctance to move there but come on- canberra? farkin canberra? if thats the options im taking auckland.
The bloke was born in auckland ffs- plus webby coaches him at club and international level and.... he'd be perfect for us.
Its a real kick in the nuts.
Not if it means Tapine is on his way here 😂

I meannn... Would Leniu leave the best team in the comp just to be a bench prop somewhere else?
Unless that rumour is b.s then that may mean the Raiders aren't confident that Tapine will accept the deal they have tabled him. (At least I hope so lol)
Talking about Raiders props does anyone have any thoughts about Emre Guler. Looks okay to me but haven't seen much of him 😕

The answer probably is - The Warriors aren't interested in him, or other Panthers players available. For whatever reason (my guess is with his size and tackling motor, he's probably more a lock, which we have too many of already). The Raiders makes since though, they likely have cap space after losing Sutton and Elliott.

Ok Monty an English lesson is called for

elegiac means "mournful or sad." The adjective elegiac is useful when you're talking about music, a movie, a book, or another work of art that has a sorrowful tone

Me thinks you mean allergic
So any work of art about the Warriors would be elegiac while it would focus on how some Warriors were allergic to passing the as well while others were allergic to making tackles...

I'd certainly look at Tapine. And I'd be looking to get a decent captain option in, as outside of Harris, I'm not seeing any player who fits the bill who's currently at the Warriors. Being Senior in your job has never meant being "Leader", automatically. And if a player doesn't want the leadership role, the last thing you do is give it to them.

As to Oshay Olay, I'm surprised Cameron Smith wasn't turfed out of the NRL because his name was a bit too hard to take the piss out of.

And he spent a lot of his time playing golf, too!

Canberra would be a bit more attractive than it was a few years ago as they have stability and have made the finals recently. A Grand Final appearance would help as well.

When Stuart first arrived he was quite vocal and complaining about people not wanting to move to Canberra. Those complaints have dried up now.

Our issue is moving country. Especially if a player can pack everything up sort out schooling for kids etc and then get moved on after a year.

Hey, Get your own made up words aye!! 🤨🤣

Edit - I was meant to quote Mr Worried2death

elegiac, that sounds pretty "egregreginglis"

Which comes from the vernacular of the Yomama clan.

Franklin Pele is not your hardworking prop but he is building to be more destructive than almost any other in the comp, he scores two tries, one long range. One of the tries you get a sighting of the pace of Luke Metcalf. Didn't see much of Metcalf but that pace is clearly on show in the try he scores.

That was a wicked ball he threw for the first try too.

Pele (reportedly off to the Bulldogs) or Caleb Hamlin-Uele would be good targets but we'd need to shed someone to accommodate them. Sironen/Ben Murdoch-Masila & Pene would be on my short list.
With Tohu Harris able to start games at #13 & finish at Prop & Addin Fonua-Blake able to play 55 minutes each week we don't necessarily need someone with a big motor just someone abrasive for two 12 minute stints either side of halftime

I like what you are saying, someone to come on and physically dominate would add a nice dimension to our game. We should go in on one of these guys as they both have physical tools to be dominant forwards, however neither will be 40+ minute props. I think we should go for one.
