James Tamou sounds like his career might be finished at the Tigers. Even though he did what he did to get sent off I kinda felt for him. He did front up to apologize at the media briefing.

I know not many on here rate him, but how about we give him a 1 year contract with an option of another year, depending on how his body plays. Everyone wants another prop. Him and Fonua-Blake could work wonders together.

Normally I would say no way

But I would consider 1 year deal reduced pay to give us that big body while Ale gets going or we find a suitable replacement

However all bets off if Webby can bring a prop from the panthers

Trying to lure these young fullas like Tito - Harris to the club with the year we've had, Can't blame them for looking elsewhere. Sucks for us. But we're not a great advertisement for rugby league at the mo.

Coaches getting sacked. Lodge quitting mid season. Chanel quitting the sport altogether. Walsh & Aitken wanting out.

Our poster boy Johnson and Idol to many young kids playing like he has quit mentally.

I remember there was a bit of hype about him because he’s related to gallen somehow but that would be a rather underwhelming signing tbh.
As it stands he’d be good enough to make our propping rotation but that’s not saying much.
Hopefully we can do a bit better 🤞

Let’s hope he’s wrong this time. We go down this road on a yearly basis with highly touted players. Unfortunately, as soon as the NZRU get involved it’s game over

Force is weight plus speed. Then you add balance and how people shift their weight, as well as agility etc, it’s definitely more than just size.

To use a comparison I play prop in Union- I’m much more wary of facing a smaller guy than a heavy guy. You know the smaller guy has his technique down whereas the big guys rely on their size alone- a small older guy on the other hand is terrifying as they have the tricks that only experience can bring.
Similar in league size helps but technique and mental strength will win out. Hope like he’ll we can recruit someone to fill that gap

You gotta feel for Metcalf a little bit - signed with us so has been shelved 100% at Cronulla since, then we go and Sign Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad, Te Maire Martin, Volkman and now Tuaupiki who are all likely ahead of him as a half/full back...

Is this Tuaupiki a better prospect than Metcalf at full back?

Metcalf will find a spot Dallin Watene-Zelezniak and others arnt sitters

I’d look to move Pene to the back row to cover the stocks. He’s pretty mobile.
I think Murchie will stay in Oz. I have a hunch he will go to the Tigers for some reason.
Potential fullback signing sounds exciting, slightly left field and unexpected.

There’s a strong rumour Leniu is going to the raiders, just not sure if it’s with Tapine or if he’s leaving the raiders. Tapine’s been offered a four year deal at $3mil, $750k a season. I can see teams going higher than that for him.
